It was on this basis that the north demanded for power shift in 2015 after Jonathan had completed Yaradua’s term and his own full tenure. On VAT, I agree only with the part of the resolution calling for all parties to stay action till the matter is decided by the Supreme Court. VAT is a consumption tax and should never be a federal tax in the first place. However, we should all wait for the final judgement so as to avoid confusion in the system.

On open grazing, it remained banned in southern Nigeria. Livestock whatever is none of our business. Anybody that wants to go into cattle business should set up a ranch. It is as simple as that.

VAT should only be applicable to firms that add values to an existing products or services.

The owner of the goods must have imported it in which case custom VAT must have been paid at the port or he must have bought it from a manufacturer or seller in Lagos and in which case VAT must have been charged at the point of sales.

Even before the VAT controversy, anytime u go to shoprite n buy goods, u must pay VAT.
Some shopping malls too and eateries too, u must pay VAT.
