Oluseun Felix Badekale, a progressive and chieftain of APC Youth League in Ogun East Senatorial District has thrown weight behind the SSG in the state, Dr. Tokunbo Talabi.
According to him, he described the protest at the governor's office, Abeokuta by some people showing themselves as APC members in Ijebu North LG as a show of Shame and Ignorance. In his words, "the crowd seen belittles what we can do in Ijebu North LG, when we are prepared to fight a course we go out fully, the organizers and sponsors are poor and the rented crowd shows how large their pocket is."
He described the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as a man of the people, an accommodating and peace loving leader, who gives equal opportunity to all and sundry.
He explains the SSG as being a very neutral person who doesn't interfere or lobby to change people's will, "he never impose even his ideas not to talk of candidates on us, those weak bones who are serial losers are the masterminds behind the staged protest, these are people who could not win election in pooling booth in front of their house. On several occasions the SSG had advised us not to thread the part of these self-serving politicians, even in face of provocation, he'll plead we shouldn't fight a pig in the mud as it will enjoy the game while we get stained.
He preaches peace and humility. He is one of the reasons we have the many defection from PDP Omo-Ilu into our party APC because he won't discriminate."
He said some self-serving politicians are afraid of the strength, significance, importance and acceptability of those who decamped into the party. The likes of Mama Omotara and Alhaji Yaro are notable people in the LG. The fear of being overshadowed because of the huge followership these people enjoyed has made them fight dirty to keep party posts and the SSG being a force opposing the move to have it all by a faction, preaching equity and justice is seen as an enemy for not supporting their evil plan.
Badekale in his word challenged anyone who is truly confident of his popularity to call a meeting in any name under the umbrella of the APC and see how many people they can gather.
