No way to separate the transmission from the engine, so we had to drop the two.

The flooding didn't do the damage it was the person that started the car who caused it.

When your car is flooded, remove spark plugs and start it a couple of time to get rid of the water

I hope no one thinks it will be a frugal idea to straighten those bent rods.

Need new rods and pistons, rings sleeves bearings honing of cylinder walls the whole works of rebuild.

It will not be cheap. Using used parts will not be the best practice too due to tolerances.

If new rings , sleeves, bearing and rods are used and pistons recycled, there is still a possibility of failure.

rebuild will be done by evaluation of individual parts, no cutting corners will ensure no repeat of rebuild

Looks like the valves got bent too running into the piston.

All those debris on the cylinders could have done a number on the cylinder wall

Can you explain this last paragraph better sir, what do you mean by "remove spark plugs and start again"?
You mean to clean spark plugs and start the car?

He meant when you removed spark plug from the spark plug well, it will allow the water to blow out because water can’t compress inside the combustion chamber and cause serious damage like this at high RPM

Can a car start if one of its plug is removed? If no, how will the water blow out then?

No it can’t but the compression will force all the water out of the chamber…

It has to be done one by one

Nawa oh ! Did he say start the car? when your remove the spark plugs, all you have to do is to crank the engine as if you want to start the car,as the car engine rolls (cranks) it pushes out the water from the combustion chamber through the plug holes when th piston gets to the top dead center.
