Purchasing a luxury accessory is a common occurrence for many people, perhaps even as common as purchasing clothing. While the allure of luxury goods is undeniable. Purchasing luxury accessories can be expensive unless you have a good paying job or have developed excellent personal savings habits.

For many years, branding has played an important role in the jewellery industry, as it has in all merchandising. What makes branding so important that makes people choose to patronize brands that tend to be costlier than your average run of the mill jewellery?

Why do people wear Branded Accessories?

Branded jewelries are purchased for a variety of reasons. Many shoppers are extremely loyal to their favorite brands for a variety of reasons, including past positive experiences with the brand and a desire to project a certain image.

1. They have Experienced Confidence.
People typically purchase a product for the first time in the hopes of having a good experience using/wearing it. They hope that a computer will perform well and assist them in completing personal or work tasks. They buy food in the hopes of getting a good taste or nutritional value.

Recognized brand names have typically demonstrated consistency in product quality and provides a beautiful experience when worn, which has contributed to the brand’s evolution. When it comes to choosing brands, consumers frequently rely on previous experiences or word-of-mouth.

2. Social Acceptance.
People want to fit in, whether it’s at school, at work, or in their social circles. As a result, people sometimes buy branded jewelries and accessories because they believe they will help them gain social acceptance. This is particularly true in the fashion industry.

Accessory brands that are perceived as fashionable, trendy, or high-end, or that fit into a specific subculture or peer group, are frequently purchased by consumers. It makes us feel like we belong to the group and fit into society. We can relate to others in the group and feel a part of something bigger than ourselves when we wear similar and familiar brands.

3. Brand Loyalty among Customers
Consumers grow loyal to brands that deliver a consistent, high-quality experience over time. Loyalty is defined as an emotional attachment to a product or service. Some car buyers have a strong preference for Ford, while others have a strong preference for Chevrolet.

Customers who are loyal to a brand are more likely to stick to just that brand. More customer loyalty and long-term business benefits result from patronizing just one brand.
