The disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa on a social media post made a reference to casualties that occurred at Izombe community in Oguta local government Area of Imo State as soldiers raid on illegal oil bunkerers on Friday 8, October 2021, left many residents homeless as many people feared dead, over 70 houses were razed and properties worth millions of naira were destroyed.

In reaction to the ugly incident, Simon Ekpa said, "When they come to burn your community, rise up against them, defend your community, you have no other place to go.
