APCNig: Rather than reply your insults I will let it slide in order to educate you The same Azikwe had the opportunity of forming a central Govt with Awolowo in 1960. Awo proposed Azikwe being the PM while himself will be the deputy PM What did the nincompoop do? He went and formed alliance with the Nothern NPC where Ahmadu Belle became the PM and he became a ceremonial president In 1979 he Zik had the opportunity of teaming up with UPN using his NPP party to instal the president but yet again he formed alliance with NPN to install Shagari a fulani man. Small boy, from the above whose speciality is it in forming alliance with the North to frustrate southern interests? Just because Tinubu now did what your brain damaged fore father's have being doing since inception of this nation in helping to install Buhari you want to commit suicide You never hala. In 2023 Yoruba alliance with the North will continue to install a Yoruba president as payback, then will your wailing start in earnest 7 Likes |

OmoEpe: What would be the point of a Senator to table a motion for a referendum that all of the legislators would vote on? You need two third votes in the upper and lower chamber for such motion to pass and you can bet that no Northerner will ever vote for referendum to be part of the Nigerian constitution Pointless 1 Like 1 Share |

There was a lot of exuberance by our leaders of old pre and post independence. Some of the actors were not as innocent as we imagined, and they could never have imagined that their roles would have far reaching consequences to the extent of where Nigeria is today. For a glimpse at the roles that some forerunners played, read: British intelligence reports on how Ironsi took over: https://dailytrust.com/amp/british-intelligence-reports-on-how-ironsi-took-over-3 My take: No side was completely innocent. All Nigerians need to have a seat and discuss about the past, acknowledge the present state of affairs, and sue for a better future by agreement. Then we can begin to build a nation, which can actually happen quickly if we acknowledge all differences and grievances of the past. loveth360: |

gidgiddy: The SW had wanted state pol ice since 1999. Then it appeared pointless because both North and SE/SS won't support it. Even the Igbo Senate leaders killed it. Unfortunately in 2003 SW only had full senators from Lagos in AD yet they still presented it. Even their PDP Yoruba brothers voted against it. Today it's still in their bill for the upcoming debate. Now 22 years after it has a 75% chance of succeeding because others are begging to see the light including those whose opposition was most vehement You can't,in a democracy, have your way at the snap of the finger. You negotiate and educate. That is the difference between the SE and the SW Its the difference between Brains and Emotions If the bill had started in 99 just like state police by now it will be ripe for passage but rather than do that they'd rather turn themselves into another Talibans and their land into Biafranistan You guys are too emotional to achieve anything. Emotions only work in an autocratic setting like the Talibans. Only intelligent people can navigate democracy successfully 9 Likes |

OmoEpe:You started well by stating historical facts but you allowed your deep-seated hated for the Igbos to smear your message. How did the Igbos oppress the SS people during the war? Care to tell us? Are you honestly saying that there are no Igbos in SS? Or perhaps, you are just another unfortunate drunk who thinks that his jaundiced opinions matter in the scheme of things. 1 Like 1 Share |

GeneralPula: But nlamdi asinwikwe is an ijaw man, or are you trying to tell us that paternity is claimed from step father, or do you think Jonathan was named azikiwe by his grandma by mistake. As for ojukwu and Ken Saro wiwa, what exactly do you want ojukwu to do, my father was stationed in pH when Saro wiwa betrayed ojukwu, and more than three hundred biafran soldiers, and a little above two thousand Nigerian soldiers died in the stand off, now he's having problem with the same people, he betrayed his people to, and you want ojukwu to interfere, or are you saying his head is more important than the head of close to 2300 men lost on both side. |

ba7man: Let me put it this way. To add referendum to the constitution, you will need at least two thid majority vote of not only the Senate, but also the House of reps. Di you know what that means? It means you will need 73 Senators out of 109, and 240 out of 360 rep members to vote for referendum. How will you convince 73 Senators and 240 rep members to vote for something that could be used to break up Nigeria? Lets talk about something else 1 Like |

OmoEpe: Most Yoruba, the fools, always believe the craps which were released by the silly propaganda machines based in western region of Nigeria. Was Azikwe the final arbiter of what should be included in Nigerian constitution during era of 1954? The above crap reminds me the idiotic contention that Lt Col Francis Fajuyi defended Aguiyi Ironsi and wanted to die with him. What a dunce. |

Idiko1: Reading just like rational thinking is the hardest job description for an IPOB miscreant. Inspite of the detailed explanations of 2 different opinions which necessitated postponement of debates for both points to be considered, you are still talking about final arbiter. The greatest problem is your inability to engage your minds as against emotions that is your forte. Please learn to read and digest than expose your intellectual deficiency on social media 1 Like |
