The news of the collapse of a 21 Storey building in Ikoyi, which is most likely one of the newest real estate investment being advertised for prospective clients points towards the old and age long issue called "use of substandard building materials to cut costs" Another thing to consider before erecting a structure with 21 floors is if the soil type can hold up or sustain a behemoth structure with 21 floors? What was the depth of the building's foundation? Quality takes time. Some things cannot be rushed. May tragedies like this not happen anymore. But the right things should be done.
