Hello guys, I recently bought a Honda Accord 2005 ex (EOD)
The car consumes 18 litres of fuel to cover a trip of 60km, is it normal with the type of car or I need to get it check?

the consumption is not normal,I have a 2006 DC v6 that will use 12-13 ltrs from okigwe to enugu(100 km),if I put 18 ltrs in my car it will cover double of what your car will do.check the fuel system starting from changing the complete fuel pump with filter,service or change nozzles,change air filter,plugs,service throttle body,etc

catalyst is not major factor of fuel consumption.

the real culprit are upstream O2 sensor,open loop, engine tune up, airflow sensor

That's about 2,880 Naira for 37 miles. Normal v6 (sedan cars) dey see 40 miles or more for 2k Naira fuel inside traffic infested cities....

I don't know much about it but one was attached to the silencer from inside the car under the front seat, and the other one in the engine, here's the scanning result.

I bought N3500 fuel which was 21 litres, I used trip B to measure it on the odometer, it covered 108 miles which is 170km with the AC on.
