President Muhammadu Buhari is once again, approaching the World Bank to obtain a loan of $30million for the purpose of building a Covid-19 vaccine plant in the country. President Buhari disclosed that his regime is currently in talks with the World Bank to obtain funds to be channelled towards building a vaccine plant in Nigeria. The President hopes that the vaccine plant which is to be built in collaboration with the Nigerian drug maker, May & Baker Nigeria Plc, would commence latest next year. Speaking through Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, at the graduation ceremony of Senior Executive Course 43 participants of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, the President said: “Nigeria is in talks with the World Bank’s private lending arm and other lenders to raise about $30 million to help finance a vaccine plant – Biovaccines Nigeria Ltd, with 49 per cent of the company owned by the Nigerian government and the balance held by May & Baker Nigeria Plc. “Plans to begin construction of the plant in the first quarter of next year and it will initially be a ‘fill and finish,’ which means importing the raw materials for the vaccines and then packaging them for distribution. Full manufacturing is expected to follow.” Earlier this year, the Federal Government had approved a total of N10 billion to support the production of local vaccines. The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, had made this known in a statement where he said: “The Ministry of Finance has released N10 billion to support domestic vaccine production, while we are working to develop our own vaccines. “Nigeria is exploring options for licensed production in collaboration with recognised institutions. We are also exploring the option of local production of the vaccines in-country and have had discussions with a producer.” https://newsroundtheclock.com/world-bank-loan/ 1 Share

I think we need to make a list of all the organizations that can give us loan, so that Buhari can borrow once and for all instead of all this weekly borrowing. 5 Likes |

AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and J/J don make tens of billions of dollars from making and selling vaccines, but ignorant Africans are crying over 30 million that could net them billions in the long run. This is why the black man remains backward, their brain is buried backward, too shallow, too lazy, too slow, too emotional and sentimental. 1 Like |

Why must we keep on borrowing money for audio projects? I'm sure some folks just want to cash out with this elephant project.... They must have easily convinced Osinbajo and confused the president and the rubber stamp Senate won't think twice before approving it. A country yet to produce toothpick wants to produce vaccines A country with epileptic power supply as ours wants to produce vaccines They think the West will buy made in Nigeria vaccines... E go shock you say Nigerians themselves will refuse to get those vaccines if locally produced. And then when are we getting the fake of those vaccines? When will they be sold in chemists around? Time will tell. |

To all the foolish people who took a failed vaccine. Hope you know that the vaccine plant means they intend to keep pumping you with drugs every 6 months. Also, if you were foolish to think that the vaccine is free because they gave you two freebies... yeah story is about to change. One wonders why the country will be borrowing for a private pharmaceutical. Who stands to profit? When has the government been interested in saving lives yet kidnapping, terrorism and even police brutality strives. We warned you all, now all the countries are moving in solidarity to ban Christmas and insisting that vaccination must be done before February 2022 and with also the vaccinated been told to get their boosters. Soon the two shots will expire and you who never took malaria drugs in 3 or 5 years, will be taking an experiment every 6 months at your own cost. |

"ANOTHER ELECTION TIME DASUKIGATE" WHERE IS THE BLUEPRINT, THE PATTERN AND THE COST STRUCTURES OF THE VACCINE FACTORY WE WANT TO BUILD? MAYBE $30MILLION IS EVEN TOO SMALL FOR A 250 MILLION PEOPLE. WE ARE HAVING A 42 CONSTITUTIONAL STATE STRUCTURES SOON. LET US PLAN A $5MILLION VACCINE FACTORIES PER STATE NOW AND BORROW BIG, ABOUT $210MILLION FROM THE WORLD BANK, SO WE CAN BUILD A $5MILLION VACCINE FACTORIES PER STATE OF OUR 42 ABOUT TO BE CONSTITUTIONAL STATES IN NIGERIA. THE N10BILLION ALREADY ISSUED BY THE MINISTER, WHAT'S THAT FOR? IS THAT A FRONT PAYMENT IN ADVANCE OF THE $30MILLION THAT THE FG IS SEEKING FROM THE WORLD BANK? |
