You are ignorant of Geographical location of the Southern Kaduna u are talking about. I don't understand if u mean Nigeria has to adopt a style of Israel being an EU member and Morocco being an ECOWAS member?

Unfortunately to you all the things you listed above is happening only in your region. You will all die provided Nigeria remains one until your death. After your region has become desolate and completely destroyed by peaceful Boko Haram boys nicknamed bandits, we will block our boarders so they can remain restricted to other one Nigeria territories. We are battle ready. Ask the Nigerian Military why they are joining hands with the bandits if the bandits were not receiving enough heat from us.

It is Igbos that scuttle that, it is that hopeless Azikwe that remove secession Clause from the Constitution and even declare it as treason, because they thought they will be in Power forever.

Is it not surprising they are the one at the fore front of secession now? They must suffer it, no Biafra for them, they all stay in one Nigeria forever.

Nonsense and 5%

Is that what happened abi na hearsay?

If you hate Nigeria, is because to an extent you are weak. Strong people kind of laugh at whatever Nigeria throws at them. They call it life!

People with functioning brain making sound suggestions but unfortunately, it will be dead on arrival as usual because the man at top will not even understand his suggestion.

It is not the man at the top that will solve your problem.

It is up to the National Assembly (legislators) to do so and they won't agree. That why Jona did National conference during his time but it could not work because it is not his place to do it.

No any corrupt Nigerian politicians will support reconstructuring or regional system of government. They already know if they could support it they may lose relevance, popularity and lack support from the people. People will want to have another new set of leaders they trust and are ready to serve them selflessly. This corrupt system of government we are practicing has given them massive opportunity to loot more and more wealth when they are in government.

We must restructure Nigeria.

It is a shame that APC that campaigned on true federalism in 2015 have turned deaf ears to restructuring.

Prof. Jega is right. The executive and the legislature are intentionally treating the restructuring matter with levity.

It may sound good, but the same politicians in the Federal structure will just go to the regional structure and continue being overloads.
Imagine an El-Rufai as Governor General of NC Region or Ganduje as Governor General of NE or Tinubu Governor General of SW...

We need to first
1. Make public office unattractive financially. Cap total allowances and salaries to civil service sector
2. Establish a strong Judicial arm of government
3. Remove the police from executive control and place under Judicial arm
4. Set term limits on legislative offices (4 terms)
5. Bar ex-Governors from contesting legislative offices

Then we can consider regional system... but I don't think we will have this again as an issue because the current federal system will work

Anything with the name "North" leaves a bitter taste in my mouth (I know it is a neutral word that has been bastardized by a group already).

Please call it the Middle Belt....or anything else like "Central Region". Do not subsume it to anything "North" please.

I am sure the SS guys would prefer their region to be called "Niger Delta" as well since it is more descriptive.

Any real restructuring will have to recognize 5 instead of the old 3 regions which had a LOT of problems for the smaller groups desiring self-determination. During the colonial times, the Traditional Rulers were actively involved in getting the voices (or votes) of their constituents regarding where they would really want to be. The NASS is not the best self-less body to kick-start this. The traditional institutions with direct liaison with their base are a lot more self-less as a catalyst in engendering the process.
