Let your people who claims that Lagos is no man's land come and build another one for you
Is this the best way to show empathy? It's only the poor and loafers like you who think this way. You must be a layabout who doesn't understand what it takes to put up a structure of this magnitude.
Your comments depicts your underbelly of a tribalist and jealous Rottweiler. You Will never put a structure like this in the remaining years of your life!

FHA is not under the state government. It's under the Federal government

It is run by the Ministry of Lands and Housing

There is no governor to give any consent

Kindly run along with your ignorance and read up before typing

Tell me something new that I don't know.....

Let's follow your deluded standpoint, so these people went to Federal Government and collected what papers consequent upon which they commenced building? Lemme guess according to you, "FHA receipt"?

Stop referring to some "Saner Climes" you've never been to. Which saner climes allow you to build on illegally on Federal Housing Authority property?

It is only in Nigeria that government agents would sell a parcel of land to you, using government documents

The same government that deems it illegal won't stop you from building. After a decade, they would come back and say it's illegal.

Did this people buy the land from a roadside mechanic? Their documents definitely have FHA receipts attached to it. I know someone that has this Phase 2 form from the same FHA

Everything in this country is upside down
Did FGN reallocate the land for sale after acquiring for FESTAC 77? Whatever you buy back door is illegal ,some people will say they will use their own before govt come to use the land

Always targeting the Igbos. Go round Lagos state and find out that it's only the Igbo communities that this issue of demolition takes place. And you want the same people to vote our son Tinubu.

Fulanis and Hausas live in different slumps and dirty environment but you you will not go and demolish their shanties. Look at beautiful houses being targeted. Why do we hate Igbos like this?

It isn't hatred, though, there is envy in all black people.
But then, lagos is an organised place, people should not ignore informations they got when searching about land to buy. Yes, authorities will not destroy shanties, but will pull down erected buildings, to avoid them being made permanent. What you can say is that they would have tried to.stop the builders from putting up the buildings, but then, thats where envy comes in. It is also in me and you.
But there was no option to remove structures on gazetted land.
Don't worry so much, our people in lagos are real men, those monies will he made back in few months

Another demolition will soon happen at Ajao estate some day soon, where omo onilés have breached the perimeter fencing of the international airport and have sold all the lands there to igbos. Only the Igbos have something to loose. Omo onilé has collected his money and gone. Always do due diligence before buying land.
That's very true. Ajao Estate is full of buildings on FAAN Lands. It's just a question of time before demolitions start to happen!

There was a particular time the forms for this proposed FHA phase 2 was out. Yes, government officials were the one issuing it. There was a property a family associate wanted to build, and he got the form. That was how I knew about it, about 6 years ago.

So where was FHA when people were building on it for over a decade, and they kept quiet?

Or you think people would spend tens of millions building a property knowing it would be demolished later?

Osibona was erecting 21 floors and the government didn't stop him. It collapsed and then we heard only 6 floors was approved.

So do you think Osibona was stupid enough to start the elevation to 21 without seeking approval? You think he wasn't given?

All you exhibit hear is hatred and ur not even ashamed to express such, the people from the "poorest" region are doing better than you right in ur own backyard , instead of you to see how you can better your lot you are hear shouting chest beating.

Hear it again, if they demolish 100 houses , same Igbos will build 200 , am not telling you this as a boast or chest beating as you claim, its just fact , yes facts that evidences of it are just there for anyone to see. Rem these are same people that were given 20 pounds no matter the balance in their bank accounts , yet they bounced back even stronger. So you see its not pride or chest beating or boasting , its natural inborn confidence, yes that ability to look at a problem, setback or calamity and believe that one can and will surmount his problems.

Doing better than who? go to Lagos state ministry of land and housing and let us get the data of houses and properties owned by tribe, you make empty noise when you build a bungalow in Lagos and your parents are in the east queuing for free kerosene, is that not madness? for every Igbo man that build a house in Lagos, thousands are selling Gala inside traffic. You're sounding emotional and daft.

So people bought forms from agents and did not go verify at Lands or FHA the authenticity? You're talking like you're perennially ignorant. How can you in the first place embark on a project worth millions without proper checks? Why the lame argument "...where was FHA when people were building on it for over a decade, and they kept quiet?" Why should you want to burden FHA with getting you to do the right thing when ideally you should have in the first place. That you've built over 10years illegally does not make it legal.

The Osibona that you quoted makes you come out like you don't even know what you're talking about; You're comparing apples with oranges...
1. Osibona has legitimate Consent and Building approval, these people don't
2. Osibona did not build on illegal land or illegally, these people built illegally and on an illegal land
3. It was reported that 15 floors was approved, where did you get your 6? In your quest to sound legit you're introducing lies. The video in which Osibona was earlier arrested for contravention is awash on social media. While not holding brief for Lagos State government, it only goes to emphasise the fact that contraventions of any sort comes with negative consequences.

Before you buy any property pls do due diligence by checking the status/title of the land from the relevant authorities to avoid the story that touch.

I’m telling you. That is what happens when they bribe to build where they shouldn’t. All they have to do is change the govt official and the new ones will demolish

It does not make economic sense to destroy people houses like this. However, this is an eye opener for people who dont treat there houses as investment.A lot of us got the concept of house and abode wrongly.Somebody with just 2 million Will run inside one bush and buy 2 hundred thousand Land and begin to build all in the name i dont want to be paying one landlord in the city.He Will not even do proper findings about the land. The Will build fake security within himself
.The money he would have invested in people(most especially children) by giving proper education and skills, sometimes starving himself by diverting to construction.
.When he Will think he needs to enjoy his
house after retirement or at point in his life government Will come.Who say government cannot use any land at any time even if you rightly owns it? .
Who set the rule that you must live in your house when you are old or retired?.I thought what is important at any stage of life whatsoever is the constant cashflow.
I know of people who have deveoped over 30 buildings without owning any but still live in house too however the difference is that they enjoy constant monthly cashflow of over 10 million monthly .
