Biafra: One Question Over Polical Solution by Emyogalanya: 3:24pm On Nov 30, 2021
Of recent the most common twin words from Se leaders political/traditional etc. And the FG is "POLITICAL SOLUTION" all this is towards the release of Nnamdi Kanu. While from legal angle vis a vis arguments from the northern block on why he should be allowed to face the law and if found guilty be sentenced before the Se or whoever can now plead for amnesty or forgiveness on his behalf. The question arising from the legal angle is. With all the evidence FG says it has to nail him, why is the federal government running away from its own courts since June when it got mr Kanu from Kenya? Well that's another thing entirely.
The question that will always comes to mind bearing on " political solution" being proffered from all corners is this: IS REFERENDUM NOT ALSO A POLITICAL SOLUTION??
IPOB, from time immemorial has sang this song right from day one till date. Why is it that the proponents of this " political solution" not put referendum card on the table. All political leaders FG, Se Etc have always told us that IPOB are very few in numbers, and IPOB itself has once said through mnk that if a referendum is conducted anyway and he is defeated , that he will collapse IPOB on that day. IPOB has put its last card on the table and said " defeat me in a UN monitored referendum and I quit." Why won't they do so? By the way what is the proper definition of political solution that they keep talking about?
Before you quote what you don't know. Ojukwu and Gowon had a political solution signed at the aburi accord, uwazurike made the same, that brought his own agitations to an end. Pls note that I called it "his own agitations" not Biafra agitation. Now in between Ojukwu and uwazurike was about 50 years. Between uwazurike and mnk is around 12 years. If uwazurike and Kanu had no constitutional powers. What happened to aburi accord? At least Ojukwu had some powers. Conversely the politician by mistake, had a conference or confab. He was head of government. Yet the northern non state actors stopped him. Too many questions. But today let's ask ourselves honestly. What is the political solution the FG needs and what political solution can ipob accept, and what political solution will address the issues in the south east. You do not beat a child and ask the child not to cry. It's not done, the purpose of beating a child is to make him cry. If you deny him that is abuse of power.
