I hear Lagos has rice farms in Kebbi state. Any financial report over the years? Anyone? Anyway, is that the source of feed stock for the mill, or are there other arrangements? Bear in mind, were talking 30-40 tons per day. Any ideas? |

Definitely other arrangements... Backward Integration... The Imota rice mill is billed to leverage on the Off-Taker status provided by the anchor borrowers program. They also have an extensive partnership with the following states Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, Kwara, Sokoto, Benue, Borno and Kebbi for both local Ofada rice and other lowland rice varieties. For a more positive effect on pricing, there should be substantial efforts to increase regional production capacity. |
