The Ooni of Ile-Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Babatünde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, and Chief Michael Ade Ojo, the founder of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State and Chairman, Elizade Group of Companies have been conferred with Honorary Doctor of Letters and Honorary Doctor of Business Administration respectively.

This took place on Saturday at the 45th Grand Finale of 45th Convocation Ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Osun State l.

The conference had been earlier announced in a press release signed by the University Vice Chancellor, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede on the second of December, 2021.

Speaking at the Herald activities to make the 45th Convocation, Professor Ogunbodede had said, "we shall be conferring Honorary Doctorate degree on two highly qualified, distinguished Nigerians whose eminence in their respective endeavours cannot be questioned. These two dazzling Nigerians are His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Babatünde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, who will be conferred with the Honorary Doctor of Letters and Chief Michael Ade Ojo, the founder of Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State and Chairman, Elizade Group of Companies would be conferred with the Honorary Doctor of Business Administration."

The 45th edition of the convocation, which coincides with the celebration of 60 years of the university is said would mark the grand finale of all activities of the silver jubilee of the great citadel of learning.

The Convocation which comes to an end today only had a total of 109 out of 7,634 graduands in attendance as on First Class students are allowed into the Auditorium.

According to the vice-chancellor, Faculty of Technology is on the fore as it has 26 First Class Students, followed by Faculty of Administration with 24 candidates.

While faculties of law and agriculture will produce 12 candidates each, social sciences and environmental design and management will both present nine candidates each, also.

Meanwhile, faculties of arts, sciences and education will produce eight, five and four candidates respectively.
