Msgr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, was yesterday June 12, 2011, appointed by Pope Benedict XIV as the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto. Msgr. Kukah, who has made enormous contributions to Nigerian society and church, even though if at times misunderstood and suspiciously misconstrued, is to replace Bishop Kelvin Aje who has gone into retirement. Congratulations. |
