The mall is developed by Polo Park Development Company; a private-public-partnership between the Enugu State Government and Persianas Group (the developers and owners of The Palms Shopping Mall, Lagos - Nigeria's premier Shopping Mall).

The mall will be home to a variety of shops ranging from cosmetics, food items to electronics. There will also be a food court packed with some of the biggest food chains in Nigeria and abroad, a cinema, and entertainment centers.

The governor is "doing a great work" by the layman's standard.
The horticultural/architectural criticism has been that his government doesn't understand the importance of open spaces, vegetation, trees, and their subsequent climatic effect and environmental impact.
This shopping mall could have been easily sited at another location without devastating the well planned horticulture of the area.
If you know GTC, IMT, and that area of GRA you will see the negative environmental impact of this mall in a few years.

One of the most convenient things about live ip TV is that since you are watching it on your PC when a advertising comes around instead of having to sit through it you can just surf the web, which gets rid of the pain of commercials. wink grin

This is a project that will not affect the lives of the people. I think the gov should focus more on such projects that will emancipate the people economically and not stop Enugu indigines from running to Onitsha, Lagos, Abuja, PH in search of means of livelihood.

Most Nigerian cities, except for Abuja they said, don't understand having green spaces, but this seems to be changing slowly now. The administration of Enugu hasn't really 'built' any thing as large as this yet, the only other thing is the golf city under construction (?) which looks like it will have plenty of green spaces. Aside from that, the governor is doing good.

Not true.

I know i will one day go back to Enugu @ least to spend sometime. I love the simplicity of life there and the quietness of the city. Sullivan is working for them.
