Does anyone have an idea of the current waiting period for Join family visa?
Have you heard of anyone that recently got an approval and what was the waiting period?
Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by QueenetteHB21: 10:52am On Jun 25, 2023
Hi, it depends on the category. Category A applications is 6-7 months.

My join family visa for critical skill was refused based on insufficient evidence of relationship. I submitted on the 7th of Dec 2022. I will appeal the decision I just want to know how long the appeal will take.

Thatโ€™s really sad to hear ๐Ÿ’” Iโ€™m not sure but the timeframe for resubmission is usually within 2 months starting from the refusal date. Were you applying for your husband or De facto partner ? Please Iโ€™d like to know what supporting documents you submitted too.

Update

Hi everyone so I submitted an appeal for join family visa on the 18th of August and it was approved on 27th August. I had to use Sinnott solicitors for the appeal as a friend recommended them. I am so happy because I though I was going to wait another 6months. [/quote]

Hi guys,

I recently did my court marriage in August this year, I am on a critical skill permit in, so I intend to bring my spouse into Ireland via the joint spouse visa.
Although we haven't done the white or traditional yet, that will be done next year but I want to commence the visa application from now so as to start the count.
My question is,

Is it necessary for my wife to change her name on documents before we apply at the embassy as proof of marriage when we already have our court marriage certificate?

Her Passport has her real name, she got it in February and we did our court wedding in August and I wouldn't want to go through the process of the name change since we haven't done the traditional and white wedding yet.

Please kindly advise, is it okay to do the application like that or i must do a name change to proof?

Remember, we have our wedding pictures, certificates, proof of relationship, CSE permit, and other documents.

please I am waiting for your response and if anyone wants to advise further, I am willing to connect privately. Thanks

I donโ€™t think your wife needs any name change. So far she has the same name on the passport and the marriage certificate.
My wife also applied with her surname and her visa was approved.

Hi everyone.
Applied for join family visa on 19th July. It was sent to the Ireland embassy from VFS on 26th July.
Today, my application number as well as that of my 3 children came out on the approved list.

It took exactly 4months. This can only be GOD, because it's not as though our application was perfect. We didn't use agents or anything, just put together the documents based on information online and from friends.

I'd just want to encourage everyone expecting here that there's nothing GOD cannot do. Do your best and Just trust Him.

Hello,

Am currently on my CSEP, and will be applying for Stamp 4 very soon. Which I plan to get married to my fiance back home when I secure the stamp 4 and apply for a spouse visa for her.

Please will the spouse visa application be treated as a stamp 4 holder (CATEGORY B ) or still as a critical skill (CATEGORY A).

Is there any particular minimum amount I should have on my bank statement when applying for the spouse visa.

please kindly contribute to this ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Of course yes. They can visit. They just need to demonstrate they will be going. With adequate funds. And all other supporting documents
