No ma'am,it wasn't but it may have a great impact if any presenter can do more- if the organizers are so sure is one of the major changes!
One reason was the timing.The BBN was just finishing its Cruise,so it's either you bring if forward to engage your audience .
Also, not enough publicity,unlike other shows as well! May be the organizers budget is yet to involve.Wish them more success in the future!

Immediately they announced her as the anchor person for the show , I lost interest with immediate effect.
She is took fake and her personality does not fit into the program’s nature .
Another thing is that publicity around the show was too poor

When it was popping many of us that enjoyed the show those years don dey old and this young ones no like the show because it does not give them toxic entertainment which they like.

It doesn't give them the opportunity to argue mumu arguments. "Tacha said Mercy is this", "oh no, it was Mercy that told Tacha that" etc.

Also, we have been spoilt with BBN which gives us constant entertainment unlike ultimate search that is shown just weekends

Same thing is happening in music. Back then an artiste will sing one song and that's OK and the fans will like it. But today, if wizkid drop song, davido will drop song too, burna will drop song too,.......no space! if anyone of them slack they would be forgotten

Airing the show only on weekends was top of the reasons..

They could have aired it every night..

Even if for one hour..

Personally,that was the main reason I didn't watch..

The Anchor didn't help matters of course..

While not being the major reason of the show's flop, Toke being there also was a contributing factor. truth is she doesn't have mass appeal and her aura/vibe clashes with the very theme of what GUS is all about and that created a mismatch when viewers tuned in to watch. But overall, lack of strategy was why GUS failed, you can't come back and then air less than two hours of content over a weeks period. It doesn't work in today's standard.

Yes and that boring Remi guy. The show picked up when Bob Manuel was reintroduced. Torke was a big flop.

The choice of Anchor did not help matters..

Contestants should be put up for eviction every week..

Aside the nudity of bbn, the voice of big brother been a male also made the show attractive. I never for ones watch any episode in last year's gulder ultimate show. But the complain I got from most people who watched it is that, toke makinwa should not have been the anchor

Yes it flopped because TM who we all know is plastic was seen coaching people in a “fitness” A reality show. I personally love TM but it disturbs my mind to see the contrast.

There was a male task master, Kunle Remi too, it was his voice we heard for 50% of the show at least. Why are you all erasing him?

A season of BB Africa had a female Big Brother, so, that was not the issue.
