General Ishaya Bamaiyi and Musa Bamaiyi are the first siblings to become general... They hail from Zuru in Kebbi state.
Ishaya Bamaiyi was the Chief of Army Staff under Abacha
were they both serving at the same time?

Congratulations but I am not happy with them, at least they should have made our generation to witness coup/junta within the last 6yrs...

Oops! I forgot, Nigerian generals now come with big paunch stomaches AKA potbellies grin grin, those ones no fit penetrate Aso Rock with that Belle.

Nigeria witnessed Coups and Junta in the past.
The military intervention in Nigeria's democratic journey is the major cause of the problems of the country.

South South is slowly usurping the position of the South East in the scheme of things in Nigeria.

Congratulations to them sha
Buhari retired tens of South East officers when he got into office and the socalled leaders of the South East didn't say much. It emboldened him to carry on with waves after waves of nepotistic retirements. Right now, all the gains made by South East officers in the army especially during the Obasanjo and Jonathan regimes have been more or less wiped out. Igbos supporting this evil regime need to go for brain check..

You are right. We've also had 3 siblings who were generals at the same time but one was army, one navy and the other airforce. Either under Abacha or Obasanjo. I think one even became the Chief of Naval Staff at the time. The Ombus from Nembe, Bayelsa.

You don't understand politics of Nationhood.

Political decisions taken by the Romans about 2000 years ago to expel the Jews from Judea and renane the territory (after the worst enemies of the Jew) as Palestina is still having reverberating consequences till today.

The union of Wales with England over 700 years ago still have consequences for both countries till date.

The invasion of Korea by the super-powers about 70years still have consequences.

In Nigeria, the present political structure that's highly centralized causing undue tension was done by the military.

Today, we are still talking about removal of subsidy on Petroleum products because the military created a monster called NNPC and saddled the FG with the responsibilities of exploring, refining, importing ,distributing and selling petroleum products at the same price all over a vast country like Nigeria.

Congratulations! Hope all of us shouting congratulations will not say nepotism and favouritism when we hear another news like this from another tribe.

The one I am against is PDP members making their siblings, relations, wives and friends judges.

Like we saw with Nyesom Wike of Rivers half of the judges and magistrates in Rivers are married, children or relations of PDP members.

PDP members from Rivers their wives and children are judges and magistrates

Wike
Austin Opara
Ken Chikere
Peter Odili
Chukwu former PDP state working committee
Onuoha
Roseline Konya

Douye Diri of Bayelsa state is doing same thing.

Judiciary is gone at least PDP killed it.
Better to instill judges that will intellectually be tested than instill bandits, terrorists and boko haram as heads. Besides, can u see how your Malami, Pantami are running the show?

This is not just enviable history, but engineered and guided history. Would the Senior brother not have helped and guided the junior one to join he army and then propel him through his career? These fruits of nepotism and not any enviable achievements.
