1 RESIGNATION.
Due to pressure and personal convictions or my failure to get this or that fixed, I hereby resign as the governor/president/minister/commissioner/police IG

2. Admit failure
As a public servant entrusted with the nation vast wealth and decision making, I admit I failed in carrying out my duties please forgive me and believe in me again.
..
.3 forfeit or reduce their salaries.
Due to harsh economic conditions, I chose to reduce my salary by 50% or donate my next month salary to a charitable course

IBB resigned when the pressure was too much albeit using a strange term to describe his resignation.

Goodluck Jonathan on several occasions admitted some failures here and there but he was also quick to remind us he didn't create the problems but rather trying to solve them.

Forfeiting their salaries Are you kidding me? Apart from being a politician is there anyone that can do this easily? Although we've heard of state governors giving their salaries to the poor or orphanages but as an ordinary citizen there is no way to veriy if such news ended up to be true or just another publicity stunt

The question for the caption would have been, "When will Nigerian rogues in politician clothes ever say things like these!!". Nigeria does not have politicians but criminals.
