Another year is upon us, with lots of goals to be achieved. The priority is respecting people’s choice this year; you have no idea what they have to deal with every single day of their life. Learn to mind your business this year.

1) If they refuse your help, respect their decision, do not tag them unserious or ungrateful, they have their reasons for turning you down.

2) If their biological clock is ticking fast and they haven’t introduced anyone as “the one” desist from tagging them “evening newspaper” you have zero idea about what happened along the way to make them still single, besides marriage is not for everyone.

3) If they have celebrated the same age 5 times in a roll, even when it’s obvious to the blind they are dancing on chronological knife edge that separates late thirties from mid forties, let them enjoy their supposed leap year birth date in peace.

4) If a couple decides to have a dozen children in 5years, mind your business even the holy book commands us to go into the world and multiply.

5) If a couple has had no child after several years of marriage, disassociate yourself from the womb watchers. You have no inkling of how hard they’re trying.

6) If their love story gets to be written with the same sex, face your own love story. Happiness is priority

7) If you’re a 9-5 job person and they refuse to grind that way, but are struggling to grow a business, encourage them rather than make fun of their hustle, our route to the top is different.

cool If they have social networking addiction and derive pleasure in being online to see what is happening and documenting their life, stop with the bad comment you didn’t buy them phone or data.

9) If they decide to keep their life real private, let them be, not everyone is wired for a behind-the-scene or free-for-all lifestyle.

10) If they are comfortable with bringing their blood feud before the social media court, let them be, some people do not have the connections or people in real life to defend and support them.

11) If they choose to go the Cabo Snoop way by wearing all the colors of the rainbow, keep your criticism to yourself Suzy Menkes.

12) If they decide to remain skinny or chubby and feel good in their own skin, focus on your healthy lifestyle; keep your unsolicited advice on 1million ways of burning fat or getting fat to yourself.

13) If they stumbled upon a better deal and leave you, heal and move on get someone better, there are about 7.8 billion people on earth.

14) If they like the vain things of life don’t lecture, preach and burden them with vanity.

15) If they decide to change the body they came in, respect their decision and refer to them by their preferred pronouns.

16) If they choose to wear clothing associated with the opposite sex E.g. genital hiding gaff, breast form or chest binder, let them be, it’s not your crotch or boobs that is suffocating.

17) If they decide to kiss a new lip every night, leave them alone that could be their way of celebrating life.

Learn to respect people’s choice this year; they don’t need you to tell them who to be or how to leave their life.
