One of those loan sharks also sent me something similar last Friday. At this guys were a bit humane and friendly in their approach unlike that of Op that is spiting brimstone.

They were rude to you, you were rude to them. That doesn't benefit anybody. No difference between you and them.

Why collect loan from them, agree to their terms and conditions and still fail to pay up in due time?

You should understand it's a business they are running and they would definitely deploy all they have to get back their money. What I don't support however is the defamation and cruel manner they go about it.

Someone seeing this would still go ahead to take loan from those companies with no aim or clear cut plan of repayment. We must understand "terms & agreements" and consent in contracts.

Op this is the strategy. The loan applicant purchases a new sim, store fake contacts then access the loan. After getting the loan. The Sim is retrieved from the phone, he or she enjoys the money. When time is due to pay back only the fake contacts will be contacted. grin

If[s] you take a legal means you go pay X2 of what they may pay in court.
You are indebted to them and entitled.
Why didn't you pay your debt at the stipulated time?
My advice is for you to go back and read the T&C you accepted while taking the loan, they may be liable to do worst damages to your reputation.[/s]

What this loan shark are doing is unprofessional and annoying... Is never in their T&C to send such defamation messages... It's a breach of privacy and they should be suited for it...you'll still send this kind of stupid messages blackmailing the persons contact and you'll still add overdue charges... For me I'll not just pay them again, they've done their worst stupidly!!!
But Op na once you deny your contact... Na so we take dey know the real ones las las embarassed

Their terms and condition has no weight in any court of law in the world. Owing is a civil matter, tarnishing another persons image is a criminal offence. By sending such messages to their customers contacts they have broken the first maxim of law, ''He who wants equity must come with clean hands''. They have no case in court and that is why they try to coerce you into paying, tell them to forward the case to court and see them go silent.

I doubt, it's highly recommended for one to read and grasp any official T&C before he or she signs/accepts their death warrant.
Anyways, I misquoted the Op hence my initial comment should be disregarded as canceled

It is really disheartening that many Nigerians take this loans with no intention of paying back and when the loan companies starts trying to recoup their funds.... Same Nigerians begin to cry foul.

Pay your debts for fu*k sake, if all those before you refused to pay, do you think you'll see anybody to give you emergency loans?

Thermodynamics:

Oga that is not always the case, why you de talk like small pikin? Things happen, this is life, some of these people had the intention of paying back but couldn't meet up due to circumstances beyond their control. Life sometimes can be unpredictable.

I know things happen beyond our control, those I am referring to are those that deliberately collect those loans with no intention of paying, and trust me, more than half the people collecting those monies have no intention of paying.

All other loan companies are unprofessional and sinking sand compared to CARBON. They don't call anyone or harrass the debtor even when its past overdue. The funny thing is those msgs are empty threats

These are all lies. Just empty threat. They want you to get scared and pressure the owner of that name.

Awon weyrey, you shouldn't have responded.

What pains me is the amount people borrow. 20k, 50k, 100k. Those are too small to solve anything. I do Paypal, just a customer can pay me 20k in a single deal that won't take me 20 minutes. Paying off simple loans like that will be cinching. Just a customer,I don make that money asap.

It pains me that youth that are socially active are not ready to invest in an online skill. They say the price is expensive but is penury nOre more disgracingly expensive?

Skills like Copywriting, content creators, Youtubing, Web designing, affiliate marketing, arbitrage are paying people. Just close eyes, pay the money to learn one of this stuff and make money. Ha!!!

Nor mind those idiots, see message when one useless loan company send me, despite say I nor even know the person when borrow money oh, them de threaten me say them go post me and the person details. PERSON WHEN I NOR EVEN KNOW, SOMETHING WHEN I NOR KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT.

TREAT AS URGENT: This is to inform you that: *name of debtor* WITH PHONE NUMBER *phone number of debtor* IS A DECEITFUL PERSON,THIS PERSON has PROVEN to be a RUTHLESS/CHRONIC and UNREMORSEFUL DEBTOR who goes about COLLECTING MONEY from different COMPANY.. He/She has From *NOW TILL 9PM TODAY* to make Payment..
THE PERSON AND YOUR DETAILS WILL BE PUBLISHED FOR AIDING & ABETTING A FRAUDSTER.

NOTE; *Name of debtor* Has refused to pay no pick our calls not respond to our massages. your details appeared as an emergency contact to be called on any occasion and if you are not aware of this you can as well call the person NOW to delete your information in the app NOW, We WAIT for your response from the person

A time will come when this loan app will start making costly mistake and start posting innocent people's picture and tagging them thieves. How I go just de on my own and person go just de threaten me say somebody when I nor even know use me as guarantor and them go publish me and the person name.

What if one day you wake up only to find out that one of these loan company has posted your details as a fraudster for something you know nothing about.

Ask yourself, how come they keep contacting and threatening people who has no relationship with their debtor ?
For someone to be a guarantor, he has to sign some documents and possibly attach a passport and a personal ID card, i don't know why these loan app don't request for all these just to confirm if there is actually a relationship between the debtor and the guarantor, they won't do any form of verification, when the debtor refuse to pay them their money, they will start threatening an innocent man that his name appeared as a guarantor and that his details will be published as a fraudster.

Their level of unprofessional is mind blowing, they just want to collect their money by all means, saying shit like your name appeared as a guarantor to see if the guarantor will pay the money on behalf of the debtor even though he does not know the debtor personally and did not sign any guarantors form for anybody.
