CHIMCO: Yes and No, reason Petrol is a colorless gas at STP, if the can is not well enclosed, petrol fumes would be let onto the cabin and since it's highly flammable, any small spark or heat let's say from the cigarette lighter or any other form can ignite the fumes. But if the containing vessel is well enclosed and no fume escape you are likely safe whether with AC or windows down. I have been transporting petrol in Jerican almost 8years now in vehicle cabin and I have never had a fire outbreak |
