GPower Integrated Concept is a Company based in South East and also covers South South in construction of residential and commercial building.

Project title: Proposed Lecture Hall & Offices in for
School of General Studies.
We are handling the project as sub-contractor.

Work began since 7th January with foundation digging @#2500/pertition. Over priced due to hard nature of soil. One week work with column base @#500 each

Blinging of foundation and colums have taken almost 50 tons of granite and 6 trips of sand.

Laying of foundation started on Friday with the carpentry work starting today. The DPP and his engineers were on site last weekend to certify the foundation, columns, pillars, baskets measurement and quality of work being done.

Done with laying (4000 blocks used, 5 Mansons worked for 5 days on counting @50/block.
Filling starts immediatly. Expecting some trips of laterite. Mark budget is cheaper than tipper on the overall.

God has bless us with another contract. From South East to South South.

We just came back from PH and l visited site. Nothing happening for now. Two trips of mark for now. A little pause due to price disagreement which gave time to visit PH.

Work has resume with full force now.
The idea to dig the soak aways(3) came to save us the cost of few trips of filling sand.

Spraying of Anti-termite insecticide

All the soak away have been completed but the excavated sand didn't meet our expectations. More filling sand coming tomorrow @30,000/mark

Filling continues with wetting of filled areas.

We are set for the casting.

The casting has started with full speed using mixer @20k/day and 14 labourers @700/bag

It's being a very tough week as God blessed GPowers with another project. I will creat a thread for that tomorrow. Mean while, sorry for not keeping you updated with our capital project.

We completed the flooring on Monday with hand mixing. The mixer developed fault and had to be returned.
Over 300 bags of cement @700/bag entered into this flooring with 2 masons/day for 6 days.

I had to form out block work for 3 masons today with my I.T students. I plan engaging about 4-5 masons tomorrow to lift the structure to lintel level all round if all things being equal.

Sorry for the pictures quality. I took it as the rain was about to fall as l was leaving the site.

Raising of the whole walls continues. Two masons will be on site today to complete everything block work to lintel level. It rained heavily yesterday and small portion (20 blocks) of the wall was destroyed by the rained because the wall was yet to set.

We are back to site now to complete the project. 50% of the capital project has been released to the main contractor and all the reinforcement materials are on site now.

Iron bender (4 persons) are speeding up the work. Cutting of iron, tying and mounting of the continuation pillars.

Boarding of the pillars have started. Two carpenters are seeing to that.

Reinforcements completed and boarding is still on going. Only one carpenter is in the site now, the others have moved to PH for our work at Sun City Garden Estate Port Harcourt.

Casting of beans and columns started last week. Sorry, for not being able to update you.

The boards of most of the areas are yet to be loosen. The main focus this week will the the front columns as seen in the last picture. Each column is estimated to take 2 and half bags of cement.
