Yoruba Youths Should Listen To The Voice Of Afenifere. by Redcrafton: 4:52pm On Jan 29, 2022
Nigeria was created on the tripod of the Igbo, Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba. Based on equity, fairness and justice, power should revolve among these people for absolute peace to reign. Anything outside of that is recipe for chaos and insecurity.

The Hausa/Fulani and the Yorubas have had their turn and supported by all Nigerians. Now it’s the turn of the Igbos to do the same. Some people are of the opinion that rotation does not bring the best, but these same people will not say the same about Quarter system and Federal character, as these policies were made to accommodate other Nigerians, so why not allow rotational presidency to accommodate other Nigerians as well? Is this not grand hypocrisies?

Now some Yoruba youths, who are mainly Tinubu supporters are everywhere insisting that power should go to the Yorubas after having had their turn….

These youths should listen to their elders, Afenifere and other well meaning Nigerians who are insisting that power should go to the Eastern part of the country as equity demands.

1. The north has always had Igbos as allies even before the war, until 2015.

2. The north understands that only the Igbos can develop any place they live. The Yorubas are not developers, and the north will be short of investments…if the Igbos leave Nigeria. What investments do SW have in Kano, Sokoto, Minna, Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Benin, PH, etc, etc?

3. The only contribution from SW is seaport. But the youths should remember that Benin republic has seaport as well, and they are not as wealthy as Nigeria.

4. The youths should understand that only the Igbos and northerners contribute more to national development than the SW in real terms. The two regions can do well without the SW, but the SW cannot do well without the other regions. The north brings food and meat, and the Igbos bring commerce. What does the SW bring to the north and the SE or even SS? Zilch.

5. These are the reasons the elders in SW will never dream of being on their own because the region depends on other region for survival.

6. Do the Tinubu youths think the north will allow all these to go, for the selfish greed of one man?

The best the SW Tinubu supporters can do to ensure peace in the country is to follow their elders. Let their boss play the king maker and support a candidate from the SE to complete the cycle after which…rotation may be discontinued.

In 1999, Nigeria accepted two SW candidates Falae and Obasanjo, and in 2015 Nigeria accepted two candidates for the north Buhari and Atiku as it was deemed power should go to the north. Now equity demands that two candidates must come from SE. This is the only sensible thing for the stakeholders to do. Anything outside this means that the third leg of the tripod is not wanted in Nigeria.

Nairalanders are getting wise now.

Allowing only two candidates from the SE remains the only way to general peace, as was done to the other two of the tripods.

These will also end the animosity in the south between the Igbos and the Yorubas.

Just ask yourself....will the north lose the hard working Igbos to you lazy thing...?

The only thing they will miss from you is Kola nut..gworo.

What do you contribute to the economies of the north and Eastern Nigeria?

The north that has the biggest vote understands this.

Your greed will deal with you.

Lets see if only the vote from Lagos will make BAT win the election.

You think there are no stake holders in Nigeria?

Why did Obasanjo who was in prison win and Falae who was your candidate lose?

You just need Tinubu's money.

Reasonable people from SW know what is coming.

When did the north ever allied with you since 1960...just in 2015.

You are weak and lazy and have nothing to offer...

How many lorries of goods have you seen leaving SW to the north and East?

How many properties do you have in Markudi, Kano PH or Calabar?

You depend on others to survive and you are not grateful...

You should make less noise.

SEBI SW and North still have some elders to listen to.

Who would Igbo listen to? Ohaneze? Massobs? Igbos?

Make a whole region no dey get decorum on important issues. Ipob would be saying one thing while Ohaneze would be saying something different entirely yet you expect others to take you guys seriously..

But you and MURIC are saying one thing and your elders are saying a different thing, as well.

The problem with most of you from that region is that you accuse everyone of what you do most.

I doubt if all the MURIC members across SW are up to 5k.. MURIC is a one man mopol organisation, he can't even speak for the Muslims in SW not to talk of speaking for the region.

@OP Who or what is afenifere to think for us?

What do Igbos contribute to Nigeria in terms of revenue? NOTHING! yet they want to be in control.
You have nothing but you want to be in charge of other region's resources at the centre.

The mistake our fathers made was to trust Igbos thinking they are reliable people to form alliance with but we got betrayed instead. I'm sure Ahmadu Bello would have preferred to form alliance with Awolowo over Igbos but Awo was busy pacifying Igbos up and down. I wonder what he was thinking or smoking at the time.

Just read you post again....

Right from time, the north prefer the Igbos because they are hard working and develop any where they live unlike you selfish ones.

Ask yourself, if you are a northerner would you chose the Igbos that come and live with you building hotels, factories, schools and homes..than the Yorubas who just do taxi business and do not contribute any tangible assets where they live?

Even in your region, you will agree that Igbos contribute a lot...

You lot should be supporting and looking for a decent candidate from the SE, than making too much noise about Tinubu nor Osinbajo.

After the SE has had their turn, than the presidency could be thrown open...and if ONLY the Yoruba candidate is elected every year...then so be it.

That is the point.

Stop wasting tour time.

I no see you blame sha o.. but the stvpid Yorubas that use opportunities and slots in SW to do charity for people like you..

If not, your likes won't stand and boldly say Yorubas that are by far the most educated and richest ethnic group in Africa can't develop their place.

Oyo state that is equivalent to the 5 SE states combined is far more developed than the SE region. Let's not even talk about Ogun and Lagos, the industrial and economic powerhouse of the federation with states like Kano and Kaduna doing well too industrial wise.

Like I said, I don't blame you but the "woke" Yorubas allowing your excesses in South West. Tinubu will contest and if he's destined to win the elections, he'll win and there is nothing a million of your kind can do to stop him.
