Don’t listen to the one below me talking smart and how you must take responsibility; how God cannot forgive you. God forgives the sincere in repentance, no matter what you’ve done? The question is, are you truly sorry? God sees your heart. If your repentance is genuine, He will forgive.

Well according to the so called Christians their God will forgive you no matter the offense y've committed..

Now speaking from my view an imaginary creature cannot “forgive” any crime cos he is simply not there.no third party or God can forgive or wash away your sins or wrong doings for you..you must learn to take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for your actions and misdeeds by APOLOGIZING to the wronged party and offer restitution by paying for your crime..that's why we have the law in place..

Yes he will surely forgive only when the sinner is truely repentant. At Isaiah 1:18 God says that even if our sins are like scarlet, he will make as white as snow. Forgiveness is God's endearing quality that i so much cherish

Yes, God is forgiving... But He is also just. When Christians go around shouting Gods characters, they select the goody goody ones and forget that He is also a God of Justice, Holy anger, an avenger a mighty terrible one and so on. Yes, if you genuinely repent, confess and do penance, He will forgive you. But you will still face the consequences of your actions. When David slept with Uriah's wife until she took in and then had him killed, he was judged by no other than the judge of the universe and found guilty. He was sorry and genuinely repentant but he faced the consequences of his action. The child of that affair died and a sword was placed in his family where his own some tried to kill him and take his kingdom.
Christians should stop portraying God like one that just forgives and forgets sin, no questions asked. That's not justice. Accepting repentance on the basis of Christ's death will make sure you don't pay the ultimate price for your sin before God which is spiritual death but that does not mean you will go scot free. You must first confess your killings, all of them to the relevant authorities and the families of the murdered and face the law. Even if it means you die in prison or get a death sentence, so be it because that is just punishment for what you did. Go to prison or to your death rejoicing because you made peace with your creator for what you did.
Christians really should read their Bible more and know the God they serve... A God that can take out punishment for a wrongdoing to the 5th and 6th generation in the case of those who hate and do not regard Him! A God that can kill off a whole people because of the wrong of their forefathers... Also in the case of those who do not worship HIM. He is still that God of the old testament, He has not changed but for the sacrifice of Christ that gave us grace of second chances. But not when a person abuses the grace and claims to repent only to habitually keep going back to his sins like one goes back to the embrace of a loved one. It is this weak portrayal of God, as a God that forgives anything, no questions asked and no punishment exacted that emboldens sinners and keeps them in bondage to sin. It is also what has led to the rise of so many people who do not even regard God in their heart!

My Darling, there are some people in this world and social media space whose agenda is to sow seeds of strife and rancor in the body of Christ. You see this attention seeking fellow that calls himself whatever? He is the chiefest of them in nairaland and you do well to just avoid him and not acknowledge him at all. He is a self acclaimed atheist yet he will not avoid threads on religion and Christian based teaching. Why doesn't he go to the Muslim section and go ranting like he does here? Is that not a religion that claims to believe in God too? Truth is the guy is a devil agent and very soon he will get that encounter with the power of God that he is seeking and for the good or bad, that's left to the mercy of God. The good news is that God has already forgiven the world by sacrificing His son Jesus Christ in our place, He isn't going to forgive you rather He has forgiven you already! We only need to receive salvation by accepting Jesus Christ as our lord and savior.

God is no longer angry with sinners, remember he loved us so much that he gave His only begotten Son so no matter what you have done His grace is sufficient enough to redeem you.
