The Ultimate Guide To Avoiding Scams In The Financial Market by Fly2London3Baba: 4:26pm On Jan 30, 2022 |
Why am I speaking about this today? I have been speaking about how to make money offline and online and agriculture especially here. If you are now making the money and scammers are taking it from you, are you really going to get better financially? No. Now, when you work in a company, they will like you for two things especially. One is the love they will have for you for making them money. The second is the love they will have for you for not letting them lose money. A scam is a dishonest scheme. It also defines scam as fraud. A scammer is a fraudulent person. Different types of scams exist today. I saw a film recently. A fake police officer (scammer) called the grandmother and said the grandson has been arrested. The woman panicked. The grandmother informed her husband. He called them and went to see the police officer. When he got to them he played along and they asked him to pay for his release. The scammer was apprehended and jailed. How can a one-year old child be arrested by the police? Scammers can get access to a WhatsApp group and start sending fraudulent messages or calling some contacts to send a code for a scheduled meeting. The moment you cooperate with them they will steal your vital information and take money from your account. When I was doing a masters’ degree programme some years ago and was on campus. A person called me and started a conversation and asked me to guess who he was. I mentioned a name based on the voice. He said he wanted me to clear some goods that he sent at the port. That’s a great offer because I should get some benefits. He asked me to call him back. I thought about it. How can this man be calling me instead of his wife or children? I was not even in the place where I could clear the goods. I called my father and asked about the Engineer. My father said he was fine and around. I knew that the caller was a scammer. He called back and got to know I knew he was a scammer and left me alone. Some scammers will call you and give you an offer and ask you to send phone credits to them. A lady was captured and kept sending N1500 credit repeatedly to some scammers. The offer was so good and she fell for it. She was later asked to stop sending by her colleagues at work after laughing at her falling into the scam. At ATM money collecting machines, some scammers will tell you that their ATM card is not responding and they will ask to send money to your account for withdrawal by you for them. If you give them your account number, they will send it to someone they want to scam. The person will send money to your account and you will withdraw for them and give them and they will leave never to be seen again. The person who sent the money will trace and come after you with police. Be careful. Vehicle sale by custom is another scam. They will offer you cars worth two million at two hundred thousand naira. Be careful. Lottery wins scam is another to run from. How to avoid scam 1. Resist the pressure to act immediately 2. Non trackable payment method 3. Stop and speak to someone 4. Don’t give your personal financial information to anyone. 5. Don’t fall for those who say they will block your account. If you do not take action within minutes. Latest scams in town 1. Related to the COVID-19 vaccine etc. You may get a message that if you have taken the vaccine press 1 or 2. Beware. An underground code has been installed to steal your information. 2. Cryptocurrency scam 3. Romance scam. Ladies looking for men or men looking for ladies. They can scam you using your desperation. Beware. Some have been raped and killed. 4. Online purchase scam. The scammers may pose as buyers and buy items and show you credit alert which will never reach your account. 5. Travel scam. They promise to help you process travel to advanced countries. Their aim is to scam you. If you want to travel, travel legally. Those who travel abroad and stay back on tourist visa do not have the normal privileges required to move around and work in such countries. In Nigeria, scam is called 419. Nigeria is seen as a major scam country. Not all Nigerians are bad or corrupt. I am a honest Nigerian. I do not ask you to pay for anything. All I do here is to give you information that will help you financially and otherwise. I am keying in to the Nigerian government drive for self-employment, self-sufficient and employment creation. Graduates can look at these businesses. The Federal Government is giving out loans through CBN and NIRSAL microfinance bank for businesses. Work up to them and make your independent enquiries about the loans and you will get it. I have series of business plans that you can use in this YouTube channel. See my videos on maize farming/business, yam business, yam flour business, cashew farming, cashew business, cashew export, cost of cashew in the international market, egg business, poultry business, ice block business in places where there is light and in places where there is no light, etcetera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-S5WB_72vQ |
