Yoruba candidates won the presidential elections in 1993, 1999 and 2003. Tell us how many times an Igbo candidate has won a presidential election in the history of Nigeria?

We’ve a good history of electoral success and you have none. That’s why you and your folks are everywhere shouting and begging that Tinubu and Osinbajo should not contest in 2023. Once they are on the ballot, it’s guaranteed victory.

Yoruba man .. how do you know he’s igbo? Always bitter and hating ..

After the wining and bla’s, yoruba land is still suffering from acute hunger and chronic poverty..
Yoruba people still do rituals and skull mining for money to faji .. not even to develop their ancient states ..

actually they won in 1959, only for them to enter into alliance with the north as junior partners...realise the error of their ways and then stage a coup!!!!!

Akeredolu should calm down...... because you're married to an nyamiri doesn't mean you should behave like one. Yoruba's don't play politics of empty threats or blackmail, you build bridges, alliances and strategize covertly for both success and failure......not nyamiri reactionary rants.
Stop reasoning like a fool!
Akeredolu reiterated what is obtainable in multi tribal society.Because the south can’t build bridges isn’t a reason to watch the north to retain power for 16yrs.The same bridges which was enabled by a fictional and lopsided constituence that gave them the power to determine the faith of others in Elections. How many Bridges did Yaradua built MR?

The 1959 election was a parliamentary election and not the presidential we practice today. Victory was determined by the number of legislative seats won and not popular votes. NPC came first based on number of seats won.

Again, you need to also consider that while Western and Eastern regions adopted universal adult suffrage for the election, the northern region adopted limited suffrage whereby women were not allowed to vote. As a result, they had lesser popular votes than the two other regions. In fact, northern women were not allowed to vote until the 1979 general election when Nigeria adopted the presidential system of government.

Before getting to my comment, you must at least pass through 10 foolish commentators.

Imagine what they turned the thread to be.
The message was about southerners stand on producing the presidential candidate, now it has happened as if the said southerners always pick a fight when it's time to outshine.

if this is what you can bring to the table, pls allow the northerners to continue the tyrannical reigns

Buffoons! Even an old man like seunmsg that should know better. Ibos v. Yoruba. An eternal conflict of stupidity. No wonder the North is miles ahead. Even a Yoruba candidate not anointed by the North fails. Nonsense! undecided

Except if it will be selection not election, but if it's election not selection then any party that field a Northern candidate will win 2023 election because north are populous than the south

I don't think the winning have to do with the zone. But if it is so,the reverse is the case.

Northern Candidate stands the chance above the southern one.

We should park tribalism aside.
