Now this can be an offense only if there is a law and system to checkmate it, with a view to protect the general public. But the focus is elsewhere in this case, which is part of the problem.

It is the same thing with those non-roadworthy articulated vehicles and trucks that continue to ply the Nigerian roads unhindered causing preventable accidents; or poorly remunerated police equipped with guns to protect the citizens; or poorly funded schools to educate the young generation and several other direct and indirect societal and safety hazards (fundamentals) that no one really pays the right attention to in Nigeria.

Virtually everything and system previously setup for good are on autopilot because of mediocrity (that elevates the quota system, created to accommodate the less qualified, above merit that is the actual basis for any system setup), nepotism, favoritism and deliberate dumbing down of all the systems and structures to enthrone the least qualified.

More surprising is that we leave the real issues (root cause i.e mediocrity) and continue to chase the symptoms (like in this case), complaining and hoping that the country will get it right without solving the fundamental problem of always empowering the unqualified and least qualified with sensitive roles. Then we wonder why Nigeria is where it is today.

What is that definition of insanity again? Doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result. angry

Realpain:
Imagine driving with that much fuel in a car
God forbid
One mistake and an innocent person will suffer for their greed.
To those saying why arrest them need to go read their constitution.

I don’t understand how they have made life unbearable for people…since when did buying a commodity that is not banned from a place where it’s abundant and selling at a location where it is limited with profit margin a crime.
After all, they didn’t force anyone to buy at their high price tag.
Govermment has failed by importing adulterated fuel, I don’t know how many people have been arrested and truly prosecuted for this crisis. Besides, is NNPC not supposed to have strategic reserve in case of unforeseen issues like this??!

Things the Media would not let us see in the beautiful game of football. Powerful volleys that brought down the goalpost.
