Some of the cars captured includes a Volkswagen Beetle (Ijapa), Peugeot 504 and 2nd-Generation Toyota Corolla Wagon.

Others are the Peugeot 404 sedan, fourth Generation Toyota Crown, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover and Renault 12.

This present administration may have scored a very low mark in terms of the high price of getting petroleum products, but many will remember it for solving the problems of fuel scarcity In the country.

In the past, Nigerians, despite Nigeria being an oil rich nation, had to queue for several hours and at times sleep at filling stations just to fill the tanks of their vehicles.

And the scarcity of fuel isn’t a problem that developed in the last administration. A trending clip taken in the 1970s takes us back to the past to see how Nigerias struggle to buy petroleum products during fuel scarcity.

In the rare footage, a very huge queues of vehicles can be seen, as motorists fights each other while waiting for their turn to buy petrol.

And if you have ever wondered which cars plied the Nigerian highways in the 1970s, then this short clip will give you a glimpse of it.

Some of the cars that were captured in the clip includes a Volkswagen Beetle (Ijapa), Peugeot 504 Station Wagon and 2nd-Generation Toyota Corolla Wagon.

Other iconic cars spotted includes a Peugeot 404 sedan, fourth Generation Toyota Crown, Land Rover Defender, Land Rover, Renault 12 and Volkswagen Transporter bus.

Buhari was the minister for petroleum then, I am not surprised.

Station Wagon! Datsun! Nostalgic moments back then when orderliness was a national pride. How PAN( manufacturers of Peugeot) and Volkwagen automobile companies folded up in Nigeria tells a lot how this failed country killed productivity.

Meanwhile, corruption have long taken over NNPC. Imagine the NNPC ceding its fuel importation responsibility to proxy companies being runned by cabals under the sitting government.
Exactly and those few company's runned by the cabals ends up quoting any figure thus, collecting huge amounts as subsidy, no wonder the amount of subsidy paid every month keeps increasing. The country is gone for good.

For too long, our infrastructures have been neglected. Governments in the past were only good at making cheap food and other luxury available to the masses. We are not in this World just to eat food.

This administration has prioritize infrastructure, by the time the ongoing repair of ph and kd refineries are concluded, subsidies and fuel queue will be gone for good. Dangote refinery is also coming on board.

One can only hope that the next government ( Whichever party he comes from), will continue in the path of aggressive infrastructure development of the Buhari administration, that is the only way we can have sustainable development.

I AM DONE TALKING

How has this administration "prioritized infrastructure"? Which infrastructure are u talking about?

Which "ongoing repair of pH and Kaduna refineries" are u referring to? How long has the "ongoing repairs" been ongoing? How many years did buhari say it will take him to fix the national refineries? Is it buhari that is building dangote refinery?

Buhari has been minister of petroleum for 7years. Pls what tangible improvements has he delivered in the sector?

If u say that "Governments in the past were only good at making cheap food and other luxury available to the masses", which one is buhari doing?

We revere the past as some kind of resemblance to a utopia that was better than the present, but it's an illusion. The past only had the glory of a lower population, the infancy of democracy, the lower effect of corruption, the emergence of new corrupt politicians replacing the British rule, and the beginning of the ride to hell.

Just like a boiling frog, the effect of the heat is not felt in the first mins, but as time goes by. The effect of a damaged Nigeria was not felt then, because it was yet to germinate. Using same logic, what was suffered fifty years ago, in the present, will also persist even worse in the decades to come. Things doesn't change itself, humans does.

Buhari's signature nemesis upon Nigerians in 1974 have been repeated between 2015 to now, except Nigeria armed forces flogging Nigerians who are queueing for bread, milk, sugar and other essential commodities.

Buhari laughs at you moaning Nigerians now.

Buhari had announced his
retirement from election politcs after self assessment and realised he was not deemed capable to preside over Nigeria in a democracy.

Tinubu went and fetched Buhari from retirement to come and defeat GEJ, so that after Buhari, Tinubu will become president.
Why do Nigerians now complain about Buhari administration?
