For eg , if you owe a house in Nigeria , the property documents include , Survey Plan , Power of Attorney ( if you bought the land ) , House plan ( electrical, structural drawing ) , CofO , etc .

It appears you either purposely neglected the truth the person said or you want to dwell on the pay of a professor. He/she was referring to the immediate salary of someone who just bagged a PhD. (After about 11years+ after secondary school) you are earning 140k as a PhD. Holder. That a professor earns around 450k is extremely paltry. Consider the average age to become a professor in Nigeria....if you had worked for a about 20 years in a good company, with such efforts put to become a professor, considering this time, this money is ridiculously small. Even some people earn this within 6-7 years of working.

However, professors are a very small fraction of academics so the discussion on general pay is at fore. Teachers are grossly underpaid.
