This is a question most former resistant staphylococcus victims ask.   Well now that you are free of the infection , its very important you
DO NOT GET RE-INFECTED.

HOW DO U AVOID RE-INFECTION ?
1.   Observe Personal hygeine eg handwashing and Safe sex practices and habits.   Use a barrier method of protection.  eg condom, female condom.
2.   Treat any STI.   If you had and STI along with your staph , make sure your partner is also treated before you resume unprotected intercourse.
3.   Avoid Douching.   If you are female and have had staph in the past.   Stop the habit of douching.   Douching can transfer staph normally found on the skin into the womanliness.   Many women get infected this way.

4.   Treat any non staph infection promptly by testing for the organism and getting appropriate antibiotics prescribed by your Doctor.   do not self medicate.

5.   Bathing before any physical activity.   This helps when you wash before sports or sex.   Washing rids the skin of the staphylococcus bacteria normally found on the skin which could find its way into the Core tract and infect it. Also promptly cover any cuts and bruises on the skin with a plaster.

6.   An adequate and nutritious diet.   A healthy and competent immune system is maintained by proper diet.   Your immune system is the last line of defence before an infection can take hold in your body.

Staph Infection and Cellulitis
What Is a Staph Infection?
A staph infection is caused by a Staphylococcus (or "staph"wink bacteria. Actually, about 25% of people normally carry staph in the nose, mouth, genitals, and anal area. The foot is also very prone to pick up bacteria from the floor. The infection often begins with a little cut, which gets infected with bacteria.

These staph infections range from a simple boil to antibiotic-resistant infections to flesh-eating infections. The difference between all these is the strength of the infection, how deep it goes, how fast it spreads, and how treatable it is with antibiotics. The antibiotic-resistant infections are more common in North America, because of our overuse of antibiotics.

One type of staph infection that involves skin is called cellulitis and affects the skin's deeper layers. It is treatable with antibiotics.

This type of infection is very common in the general population -- and more common and more severe in people with weak immune systems. People who have diabetes or weakened immunity are particularly prone to developing cellulitis.

Abi is this an STI in places like Nigeria? undecided

^ it is the same staph o, but it does wonders when it gets into the blood stream (wormlike movement, internal heat, etc).

In Nigeria, it usually/mostly gets into the bloodstream through coi tus - related activities.
