Management Consulting firm with branches nationally whose head office is based in Lagos.

We are currently sourcing for smart and articulate young professionals with experience in Human Resources.

Job responsibilities

Supporting the account managers in efficient and effective service delivery.
Supporting the team in quality service delivery to clients.
Supporting in the delivery of HR related functions internally.
Responsible for liaising with external staff and any other support responsibilities.

Requirements

First Degree in any related field with a minimum of a Second Class Upper division grade.
1-3 years experience in Human Resources,sales, customer service.
Interested in building a career path in Human Resources.
Certification will be an added advantage.

VACANCY

We required the service of a Chief Financial Officer / Financial Manager (CFO/FMR) to: analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities of the company and or its related entities in a timely manner. This includes advice on investment decisions, resources allocation, profit maximization and safeguard of company assets.

Job Title: The Chief Financial Officer / Financial Manager (CFO/FMR)
Report To: The Managing Director / CEO

General Job Duties and Tasks
1. Ensure that the records being kept is accurate, complete, and conforms to reporting and procedural standards. In other words, ledgers must be kept for all financial transactions, monthly trial balance shall be prepared and the reports must be communicated to the management.
2. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
3. Manage and report on Trade Debtors and Creditors, Other Debtors and Creditors.
4. Prepare, maintain, and analyze budgets, prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs as may be required.
5. Prepare and Manage the company’s payroll in line with guidelines, prepare the relevant monthly schedules such as staff pension, to effect payments as contained in the government regulations and internal guidelines.
6. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly routine reports as may be required /directed by the management or supervising authorities.
7. Manage and supervise banking relations including reconciliation of cash book and bank statements of the company. Report on important or material transactions or disagreements for appropriate management action.
8. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
9. Maintain records of all company’s Non-Current Assets in line with best practices by recording detail information such as date of acquisition, the property's description, value, location, depreciation policy, valuation report, insurance if necessary etc.
10. Prepare, maintain and report to ensure company’s compliance with relevant taxes and regulations such as Personal Income Tax, company income tax, Tertiary Education Tax, VAT, WHT, Pension Acts, CBN guidelines etc.
11. Liaise with internal auditors, external consultants and auditors, other departments during audits, investigations and other relevant matters to provide the required documents and information to meet compliance needs and any other objectives.
12. Ensure compliance to all management policies, procedures and regulations.
13. Advice and recommend training needs and other resources needed to carry out accounting duties.

In view of the above, his/her present SPECIFIC DUTIES are as follows;

i. Coordinating, directing and supervise the activities of the account and finance department under your office.
ii. Sourcing for funds to maintain a robust working capital for the company.
iii. Advice management on investment decisions.
iv. Secure, keep and maintain the assets register of company and or it’s related entities.
v. Advice on company resource allocation.
vi. Attend to all audit queries and in consultation with the top management staff or other stakeholders if necessary.
vii. Represent management on meetings when required or directed by the top management.
viii. Design, review, implement and advice on processes, procedures and policies to ensure efficient and effectiveness in the conducts of the business activities.
ix. Prepare and presenting the corporate financial statements of the company and or it’s related entities in line with global best practices.
x. Ensure that the laid down rules and regulations or guidelines are adhered to and recommend changes to be made if necessary.
xi. Liaise with external consultants and auditors to resolve matters of concerns.
xii. Submit routine reports to the MD on monthly basis or as may be required.
xiii. Carry out other duties and may be required by the management.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
i. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with MBA/MSC will be an added advantage.
ii. 5 to 7+ years of relevant work experience, including several years of direct responsibility for the accounting function of a company.
iii. Prior experience in working with start-ups or new business initiatives in a larger organization, esp. involving mobile apps, identity verification, or digital payments.
iv. Familiarity with multi-currency, cloud-based accounting software.
v. Familiarity with relevant regulatory compliance requirements for financial transactions and mobile/digital services
vi. Familiarity with structuring capital raising agreements with international investors.
vii. Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification.
viii. Good standing with relevant professional and regulatory organizations.
ix. English proficiency.
x. Only Lagos residence (proximity to Victoria Island Lagos, Nigeria).
