Ghanaian fighter Richard Commey says partner Vasiliy Lomachenko made the best choice by enlisting in Ukraine's military to battle against Russia.

The three-weight best on the planet has gotten back to enroll in the Territorial Army to protect his country against Russia's merciless intrusion.

In a photograph shared on his Facebook page on Monday, Lomachenko was seen wearing a tactical uniform with a rifle on his shoulders.

Commey, who lost to Lomachenko by consistent choice in December, accepts the Ukrainian fighter has made the best choice.

"Right from the start of his vocation battling in the novices Lomachenko has been battling for his country," Commey said in a meeting with BBC Sport Africa.
