SKIN FUNGAL INFECTION

Symptoms of a Candida Albicans Fungal Infection
One of the main causes of skin fungal infections, Candida albicans can cause several different symptoms. These symptoms may be uncomfortable, but they are also an indication that you have an infection that needs to be treated. To help you determine whether or not you have this fungal infection, we’ve put together a list of the most common symptoms of Candida albicans, as well as ways in which you can treat it if it seems like it might be what’s causing your problem.

Skin redness
One very common symptom of fungal infection is skin redness or rashes. These may be small and mild or large and disruptive, but they always signal an underlying issue. In most cases, these are caused by an overgrowth of a certain type of fungus called Candida albicans. If you believe you have been infected with a fungal infection, it’s best to talk to your doctor immediately. You may need medicine or additional testing to confirm that your symptoms were caused by Candida albicans. However, some cases of skin rashes are not caused by Candida infections. For example, people who work in public places like restaurants or shops often develop rash-like symptoms due to exposure to irritants in cleaning chemicals. Additionally, if you suffer from eczema or psoriasis, your rash will likely look different than what would normally occur from a Candida infection; other types of fungi can also trigger similar reactions on your skin.

Skin itchiness
If you develop itchy skin, suspect that you have an overgrowth of candida. Fungi thrive in warm, moist environments and can overgrow when too much sugar is in your body. Your body sends out inflammation-causing compounds to kill off these foreign invaders, which results in an itchy rash or skin irritation. Severe cases may even require topical or oral antifungals to eliminate candidiasis.

Skin burning sensation
You might experience a burning sensation on your skin, especially when you are exposed to irritants such as dust, dander, insect bites, or sun. Burning sensation on your skin is one of the most common symptoms associated with a fungal infection caused by yeast (Candida albicans). This type of infection typically appears under your arms, in and around your vagina and anus, between toes and fingers, or around breast nipples. It usually happens due to an overgrowth of naturally occurring yeast known as Candida Albicans. These infections have become more common among people who use antibiotics for an extended period. Although yeast infections are commonly referred to as vaginal infections, men can also get these infections in their penis and groin area. Yeast thrives in moist environments and may even cause more severe conditions if left untreated like Thrush & Athlete’s foot fungus.

Skin peeling
One sign of a skin fungal infection is excessive peeling. After all, fungi thrive in warm, moist environments like human skin. For example, if you experience itchy rashes with visible scaling or peeling, you may have contracted candidiasis. The condition can affect just about any area of your body where there’s skin—including your scalp and nails—but it’s particularly common on your feet and groin area. This form of fungus spreads easily from person to person. If you think you have a fungal infection, look for blistering skin lesions that are filled with clear liquid; thickening patches of discolored skin; flaking patches of scaly, yellowed flesh; painful sores that don’t heal after two weeks.
The most prominent symptom of intestinal yeast overgrowth is watery stools (diarrhea). Symptoms typically occur 3-6 hours after eating.

Oily hair and scalp
The most common symptoms of a candidiasis infection are white or yellow-colored patches on your scalp, hair loss, and an oily appearance to your hair. If you experience any of these problems and additional symptoms such as digestive upset, fatigue, or frequent vaginal infections, you may have developed some kind of fungal infection. However, because candidiasis is sometimes difficult to diagnose it’s important that you visit your doctor to get tested.

Burnt mouth or tongue
A burning sensation on your tongue or mouth can be caused by candidiasis. Also called oral thrush, candidiasis is a fungal infection caused by Candida albicans—commonly found in yeast and certain foods. It manifests in different ways for different people; some people experience minor symptoms that don’t require treatment, while others suffer from chronic conditions. If you find yourself suffering from pain on your tongue or inside your mouth, consult with a doctor to rule out more serious conditions.

Postnasal drip
One of the most common symptoms of both allergies and fungal infection is a postnasal drip, also known as a stuffed nose. Postnasal drip refers to nasal mucus that drips down your throat after you’ve been exposed to allergens or parasites like candidas. The associated itching and burning sensation that can accompany postnasal drip are caused by histamines, which are natural chemicals in your body. Histamines cause blood vessels in your sinuses to dilate and produce mucus in an attempt to flush out pathogens. Though you may experience an itchy throat if you have allergies, postnasal drip usually comes with other allergy symptoms such as watery eyes and sneezing; ditto for fungal infections like candidiasis (and chronic sinus infections).
Solution: There are effective non-chemical organic products that you can use if you ever get diagnosed with any of these conditions/symptoms so feel free to ask for help…
