The original plan by GEJ was estimated 140 billion.
APC men changed it to 70 Billion a design which will not allow most ships from passing during rainy season/

they claimed the cost was inflated.....
onitsha port to suffer

Onitsha port will be ok. In this day and age, big ships are no longer needed at a River port such as the one at Onitsha

All one needs are barges and small ships

And who pays the bill for additional fuel used to move cargo in “barges and small ships” to river ports?

What has happened to the issue of dredging the river?

The north have really ruined this country.
Even Akwa ibom doesn't have terminal for big ships.
Same thing with Bayelsa.

Nnpc of course nah,who else? No need for barges, small ton vessels can do the job very well.
If small vessels can sail from Lagos to Koko in warri, what stops them from sailing to Onitsha?
Only issue is dredging some parts, that's all.
