I got a new phone after I lost the old one. I can't remember my password anymore.

I tried to change password and a code was sent to the phone associated with my account. When I enter the code, I was able to change my password but I was required to get another code from my authenticator app or duo.
I downloaded a Google authenticator app but each time I pick the code from there, it doesn't work
Is there something I'm not doing well?

This is the only reason i don't use that sh*t Google authenticator app, the only way out is to get back the old phone where you set the auth or no hope�
