Last 2weeks my boss had an accident that landed him in the hospital.
On his returned he had to sack his gateman for leaving his gatepost and allowing him to wait for minutes and finally coming down to open the gate for himself. he said if the gateman was at his duty post the accident wouldn't have happened, that he would've overcome that tragedy earlier...

According to God's word it's impossible we just have to manage any situation we find ourselves {Ecclesiastes 9:11-12; Matthew 6:34} but that doesn't mean we should be stupid to add to troubles that we can easily avoid! Proverbs 17:14; 22:3

Lol. Your boss transferred aggression on his gateman. To your question, it is very possible but difficult. If you are WATCHFUL and prayerful, you can outsmart most tragedies. i said most because in some cases, it might be your very "destiny" to face a "tragedy" and results in your promotion and testimony.
The cup can be made to pass, but is it God's design?

Expect other religions and cults to tell you otherwise though, they believe in fate only and have no faith.
