Get a good lawyer as quickly as possible if you want to follow it up legally.. But i doubt if you were completely out of the road. Here in Nigeria, drivers don't pull over properly, they park leaving a part of the car on the road, and it can lead to what happened to you..

I have gotten my self a lawyer and he said I have a good case, I have pictures of the whole incident from a passer-by.

Cases like this can easily switch and turn against you that you had the intention of robbing them.
If you can cater for the cost of the repair, I will suggest you count this as one of your losses and move on.

Get a good lawyer. Their insurance should do the needful. Third party insurance is compulsory for all vehicles in the country.

My brother, even Governor's convey pack for bullion van to pass simply because they are carrying the treasure of the nation, you packing in their front could be a case of suspected robbery attack and the driver had to do what he did to escape your road block thereby averting robbery. Think well before pressing any charges sir.

U will approach any of the insurance companies, give them the value of Ur vehicle and a copy of Ur vehicle license....they will charge u premium and require u to pay into their company account.

After payment they will issue u a motor insurance policy and motor certificate which is an evidence of insurance.

When u have an accident just send them a mail through the email addresses provided in the policy doument and they will process it for u.

I don't think the biggest issue here is fund. To me, it's evidence. The OP doesn't seem to have any. No picture. No evidence, unless perhaps the incident was captured on CCTV, which the OP did not state. Some are talking about insurance. Yes, it makes things easier but not necessarily more straight forward. Your Third Party insurance won't fix your car in the event of an accident. It's for the offending party if the fault is not yours. If you're at fault, you're on your own. Comprehensive insurance will, but they would still thoroughly investigate the accident. So same questions being asked would still apply. If the fault is not yours, they won't pay but they may help chase the faulty party. If you were at fault, they would fix but would raise your premium on renewal.

Even if you only partially blocked the road mu friend you are at fault.
On the other hand get the cctv clip from shoprite or press charge bulion van usually has dashboard camera
