Corruption: both candidates have long history of corruption with no real evidence to show. However, unlike Tinubu, Atiku has never been tried of corruption while tinubu has has been tried but later dismissed by the tribunal.

Desperation: Both tinubu and atiku have always been ambitious towards becoming president but it is wordy of note that Atiku unlike Tinubu has no sense of commitment or respect of agreement towards his ambition. Tinubu on one hand has made several compromise towards his presidential ambition by letting Atiku run under his party, merging with Buhari to become president, and also compromising his VP slot to osibanjo for the sake of party victory. while atiku on the other hand has jumped from pdp to AC then to APC and then back to pdp to fulfil is lifelong ambition of becoming president with self respect for loyalty. Atiku declaring to contest this time shows his despiration despite the fact that pdp leaders agreed to compromise to the north in last election and hoping for the reverse this time. Atiku showed personal greed when he announced to contest again this time under the pdp.
