AT THE VALLEY OF LIFE
In those quiet nights where the sky adorn herself
in mourning attire for the painless death of the sun;
I sit with the ghost of my silence fighting the demons in my head,
Hoping to stop my soul from divorcing my body.

Like Abraham counting the stars to number his children unborn
I count the many times I fought the trials of life and won.
How I challenged my fate into a boxing ring for a fight
And came out with belts and medals of victory.

I sit to remind today that yesterday won same war,
Armed with nothing but arsenals of prayer, yet stood tall.
Why then should he lose now that his shadows measures same as his fathers.
For trials are just storms, it will pass, leaving behind a calm.
