Seriously Injured Boko Haram Fighter Runs To Nigerian Army For Protection After ISWAP Attack

As the infighting between ISWAP and Boko Haram worsens, Nigerian military are increasingly becoming the only safe haven for some of the two groups' top commanders.

Last Monday, Yerwa Express News, a North Eastern News platform that reports about the Boko Haram and ISWAP war revealed that an ISWAP member requested the protection of Nigerian troops after being attacked by Boko Haram terrorists.

However, the reverse is the case today as a Boko Haram commander was said to have ran to Nigerian troops in Bama yesterday, seeking similar protection from ISWAP terrorists.

When he ran to them, he was already drenched in blood and had both ears chopped off, among other injuries.

During interrogation, the victim revealed that ISWAP fighters attacked him in Mantari Village, Bama Local Government Area.

They used a cutlass to sever his body, and he pretended as if he was dead. After they left, he reportedly ran to the Nigerian Army and right now, he is in Bama receiving treatment at the hospital.
