It always start from dysfunctional parenting and penultimately ends there. I took my 16 years old son in 200 level phone unaware last 3 weeks. He challenged me that what do l need his phone for.... A threat to reset his brain function with a thundering slap made him to unlock the phone for me to gain access. I checked everything, l mean everything. Though my findings were not so shocking (far below what l had expected or feared) but he still had a week long counselling session and l still disciplined him with certain restrictions and warnings. Our generation is producing weaker and morally bankrupt kids(generation X or the millennials) and it is our fault. Not the overpaid teachers, not the overpriced schools, not the irresponsible government, not inadequate societal policies or codes of conduct..... Its on us! 'Satans' are been groomed under our watch..... And we are busy chasing money to finance it.....

All I know is that parents own the blame o.
I live in the society and I went to school.
Some children are not that way. And if u dig deep, u see how much their parents have drilled them.
These things are common with those families that believe that wealth is an offer of luxury of freedom of devices and space to their children.

OP, I can't send you video as I can't be part to sharing child pornographic content it's against the law but it's was on twitter as at yesterday. As I said earlier, I had to watch the video with my wife just to learn as I have an 8year old daughter.

From what I saw in that video, I can authoritative tell you that the girl has been molested for years and the parent didn't see the red. As a matter of urgency, that small girl needs serious rehabilitation and counselling. How can a girl of that age be totally naked in front of other boys and perform different without shame still mervels me. I'm married for 10years an di can boldly tell you that my wife only make moves to do such style whenever I encourage her while on bed bcs of her moral upbringing.

My fear is that this is one out of millions going on in our society and even the Children with good moral upbringing are even at greater risk as influence from the corrupt ones is now high.

The focus is on the girl cuz it was her parents that came to seek 'justice' on social media for their daughter being 'raped' and suspended from school. The heap on the blame is now rightfully being placed on the mother cuz her daughter was not raped, infact she was on the driver's seat. But after watching the video she still came online to lie about what happened instead of her to discipline her child and try to keep the whole show of Shame as secret as possible.


The boys were also suspended too, their parents did not come online to give false narratives to try and vindicate the actions of their sons. The parents of the boys are atleast more sensible that the stupid mother of the girl who seeked social media justice against a school for disciplining her daughter for her wayward act.

The truth is boarding house has outlived it's time in present day world, I went to boarding house in the late 90's and there are somethings that happened, till date I can't even share with just anyone, and that was when there were no mobile phones and social media and it was an only boys school, after I left I said to myself I will never put my child in boarding house or advise anyone to do so, that was back then, now compare that time to over 20 years with all the rubbish going on the internet with social media and sex appeal.

If I were in charge of government, I will ban boarding house, some parents don't know that parenting style should change as the world is changing, you can't use old style of training children for modern times, boarding house doesn't help at all at this time, it worked in the past.

for programs like this competition, the school should make sure at least 1 parent or guardian should come along for such event, the expenses should be bore by the parent or the the child will be withdrawn from the event.

The housemaster thing cannot be as effective as parenting, if some parents that have only 4 children sometimes find it difficult to monitor and control their children, is it now a housemaster that will now effectively monitor and control over 76 children.

This episode is a big scandal that the school should not be allowed to wriggle out of. How can a school of such calibre (or any school for that matter) allow such underage children to cohabit to the extent that they were able to engage in sexual activities and even recorded it on their phones. Is it normal for boarded students to have access to mobile phones? What a big shame.

The parents of all the children should bury their heads in shame because ordinarily, at that age (of ten years) the children should not even develop an urge for sex. Only God knows what type of moral and home training some people give to their children. That girl obviously was not having sex for the first time.

The parents should be brought to book on this because the law can do virtually nothing to these children on account of their respective ages.

Lastly, this should be a reflection of what the society really is. If this has happened, it means it can happen (or is also happening) in hundred of other cases in the country - especially among the upper crust of the society where a lot of scandals abound. Whether we like to believe or not, similar thing is happening in boarding schools all over the country.

The did not cohabit , they were placed on different floors , boys were far from the girls and the school did roll call at morning and at night , she was smuggled into the boys room after the unsuspecting teachers had marked attendance for the roll call and retreated, no teacher would believe such a thing would even happen , and they don't pay them enough to do night watch over children that are not even supposed to imagine something of that extent and if you were to put yourself in the shoes of the teachers you'll understand that it's exhausting dealing with average children , talk more of children that have been so exposed to money and technology

Yes in my highschool , we were permitted to have tablets and we used them for homework , classes , games and studying , they inspected it regularly for any Sims , which was not allowed, they also checked our gallery and emails and if you tried to log into a porn site , you'll be called out by the ICT , everything was monitored , they blocked us from downloading anything except for Wattpad books , if you needed a game , you'll meet the ICT and they'll install it for me
It was effecient and helped us cope with the reading , some of us read better with music , there was only one incident but it didn't involve a video , it was just a foolish girl and a foolish boy and that was it , we didn't see it , they were caught by vice principal she was 14 and I don't remember his age , and yes it's a Nigerian school and it was my favorite school except for the status bullying among students , which is inevitable ( the bitter truth is bullying exists in every school , big or small , rich or poor )

The parents are the biggest blame and sometimes these kids learn from home and go and corrupt others , you can't leave clean and dirty cloth in one basket and expect them not to smell the same , in my opinion that girl is a victim of child molestation and she should go through counseling and therapy but with how her Mom is still in denial , I fear she's going to prefer to take her to church than a psychologist "nothing is wrong with my child"

Then the boys also need to be counseled , proper investigation needs to be carried out to find out who started it and start from the root and find out the children involved in the past as well, one thing is for sure this is not THE FIRST TIME
