Same Buhari was complaining about the Presidential form sold at i think #27,000 in 2015. That it was too exorbitant which led to a systematic begging for money from members of the public.

Am very, very happy Buhari finally became Nigeria's President after a number of trials. If not this Buhari would still be in the minds of so many Nigerians as the best President we never had. Am glad he was given the opportunity. Am so glad.

You really get serious point.. Also, if he hadn't win the re-election, he would have said it was because of that, he couldn't fulfill his bogus promises..

if the people really want you to be their president 100m will be nothing

ENCOURAGING is not the word but PROMOTING and EXPANDING corruption.

N100m for a nomination form? That is enough to do a gigantic project such as a school or hospital.

The problem is even political jobbers to buy the form for an aspirant that eventually wins. Then you will see all the incompetent financiers being used to fill up every ministry.

How can a nation move forward like this?

Hmmm...You see nobody in the history of Nigeria has ever been privileged to get so much good will from Nigerians like Buhari in 2015. Infact people were so ready for a better Nigeria, alot of corrupt contractors and government officials started doing things the right immediately he won the election even before he was sworn in as President out of the presumed fear of a supposed no nonsense man Mr Integrity but all in vein.

How does anyone explain such an ambiguous amount for the purchase of a presidential form in a country which poverty index ranks so high.

How does anyone explain the state pardon granted to those ex governor after being convicted for corruption in a Buhari led administration. It's so sad, but then to be very honest, our problem is very collective as a people who work very hard to see that we destroy our country by ourselves. Clinging on tribal and religious sentiments, indiscipline dishonesty and other pestilence nonsense.

Of course what do u expect from a visionless party?
From State Assembly to Presidency all about greed.

Well.. Since lagos has a lot of money to throw around, the plan is to get a share of the Lagos cake from the Notorious thief, and then kick him out to SDP where he belongs. The die has been cast.

Tinubu us your problem. Can you also tell me where your Amaechi get N100m for expression of interest? Always defending people blindly and attacking the other candidate because of hatred.
Re: Adeyanju: APC Encouraging Looting With ₦100 Million Presidential Nomination Form by derecho(m): 9:37pm On Apr 20, 2022
It's funny how some people are defending this.

Some said if you don't have 100M can you control XYZTrillions?
First, did they say the money must be your money? Can't some other persons sponsor him and later demand the money with interest?
Secondly, having 100M or 100B doesn't stop you from amassing more wealth. A rich thief wouldn't steal 100M, he is more likely to steal Billions or Trillions.

Just imagine Tinubu becoming Nigeria's President, the one he did in Lagos will be a child's play.

Summary,
Our CBN governors don't need to be billionaires before they are appointed to sit over the billions of dollars they manage.
The president isn't there to do the work of the CBN, he won't be there to spend our money as a billionaire but to appoint prudent administrators and make informed decisions.

200M can easily be procured by 10 Mc Oluomos contributing 20M apiece.

I'm sure no sane Nigerian wants an aspirant sponsored by Bandits or characters like Mc Oluomo

You shouldn't be in APC or PDP if you really have a solution for our country. You can't be in a party of thieves and not be a thief yourself. Even if the form is free, shey it's the party that will sponsor your campaign? And when you win you must pay back back in four folds

as a young guy with solutions to the problems of our country, where will you get the money to run your campaign even if the nomination form is free? if you can answer this question then you already know the answer to the question you asked.

If you us this amount to buy nomination form, and eventualy win. Ur first duty in office is to recover the money ur money and make ur profit.
the reason the fees are this high is to scare those who will have the intention of buying a form and use it to negotiate or lobby for one thing or the other. also, for those who would want to waste the party's time. it also shows the popularity of the aspirant because only a fool would use his personal money to gamble/run an election. it therefore means that for you to buy the form you need a support base that can put their money where their mouth is.

You want to manage $432.3 billion USD economy

You want to manage ₦10 trillion NGN annual budget

You want to manage $40, Billion USD in Foreign reserve

Yet you can't source $250,000 or ₦100,000,000 for express of interest form

.

You must always support evil as far is perpetuated by your party.
Remember that in 2015, Buhari complained about the then form which was selling for just 27 million naira.

If you don't have the money you swerve. A poor man has never ruled a country in this world.

Two things are involved in politics ... you finance yourself or some people with the financial muscle see you as a sellable candidate to the party leaders or the voters enough to finance you.

There were too much jokers masquerading as aspirants anyway. Let's separate the boys from the men .

The costs of intent and nomination forms of APC, sickened me to my stomach. Anything that makes public officials beholden to a group of people is a purveyor of corruption.

The idea that only the rich can stand for public office is discriminatory. Shame!
in other climes pple crowd fund for candidates politics no cheap.... But we don't have culture of donation here... How many Party members pay dues.... So APC needs money to run campaign 2023.... So they have to get some from ticket sales... Obama in his time crowded donations of dollars of money

It is not expected that the candidates will buy the ticket with their money but to crowdsource it.

Running a presidential campaign run into Billions and donations are needed. If people don't believe in you enough to raise ₦100 million, how will they raise the billions needed to run the proper campaign?

Even some candidates in the USA we love to copy, had to drop their ambitions due to lack of funds. Raising funds to a critical part of democracy to show that people believe in your candidacy.
