No doubt there are some positive results like higher performance academically, boast of morale , hard work when parents mount pressure on their children.

Some parents do so by comparing them with their mate, failing to encourage and commend them for their little best which is not helping.

In our society today we witness young people going into illegal ways of making money , there's certain level of blames that can be accredited to their parents.

Some of the effect of parents high expectations from their children that I have witnessed in my locality includes ;
- Children marrying the wrong person due to pressure from parents because all their mate are all married

- Young people engaging in some forms of rituals , fraudulent activities, and all sorts of evil act to make money

For this reason I suggest parents should be enlighten on this, it's devastating our society today
