2023 Presidency: Pro-Tinubu Group Says No To APC Consensus
Channels Television

The South-West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) group on Friday said it will not agree to a consensus arrangement for the selection of the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate.

Speaking in Abuja after purchasing the APC presidential form for Tinubu, Chairman of SWAGA, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye said all aspirants must be allowed to test their popularity at the party’s primaries.

Mr Tinubu, a former Governor of Lagos State, is one of many aspirants seeking to fly the APC’s flag for the 2023 presidential election.

Other candidates include the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.

SWAGA was officially launched in October while Tinubu himself was recuperating in the United Kingdom.

The Group, backed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, believes Tinubu “understands the diverse nature of the Nigerian economy.”

We don't need old creature as president again. The pains of the 2015 deadly political mistake are still much with us. We can not repeat the same mistake come 2023. What is even wrong with majority of black people? Must he rule? Is it a do or die affair thing?

Nothing Tinubu no go see for where consensus dey

Tinubu should know that by law, direct primary is not the only recognized election. And that consensus is constitutional. So he should relax.

Why are most Pro-Tinubu Groups so engrossed in the APC primaries as if winning it will translate to popular votes in the general election?
Tinubu is a party man so it's expected to have an upper hand in the party primaries except there's an underhand moves.

Actually consensus candidacy is only possible if all the aspirants step down for that aspirant.

If as much as 1 of the cleared candidates say no, a primary must be held.

The arguenent of Tinubu's camp has always been that every candidate should go to the field and test their popularity amongst the party delegates instead of asking others to step down.

As it seems, a lot of candidates have been relying on a consensus led by the president as they know they can't excel in the primary election which is why we lots of aspirants are taking by force pictures with Buhari.

Seems to me you're the one crying. Stakeholders are merely reminding those who feel the Party now belongs to them alone to toe the path of equity and fairness.

Whereas you are a nobody always obsessed with the affairs of the APC when you're actually a PDP-worshipping IPOBian.

Ever tried minding your business?

I don’t know how it’s gonna work out tho, but it’s crystal clear even to Tinubu supporters that Buhari does not want to hand over to him. And I sure know Buhari has a plan kept close to his chest on how he intends on halting his presidential journey.

We will see how it pans out

So the APC belongs to Buhari and his crew alone? That is why you IPOBian suck at politics or anything that involves the creation of enduring political platforms and institutions.

It is the reason all your politicians are political prostitutes with not a single titan amongst them.

The Yorubas, from day one, made themselves very important stakeholders in APC with Tinubu being at the head of that. He has paid his dues dilligently.

Something alien to you 'food is ready' IPOB bingos and desperados. No one can use consensus to just brush BAT aside. Know that and your hateful soul may know peace.

Igbo man led and pioneered the creation of PDP ( Ekwueme), get your facts right and it was a party that ruled Nigeria for 16 years.

Igbo man Azikiwe pioneered and led the creation of NCNC the peoples party in the first republic which ruled Nigeria till the coup.

The only Yoruba party that ever ruled Nigeria was APC and it’s just for 8 years with your crap chest beating.

Better go and get your facts right.

APC didn't come to serve, they came to enslave, steal, kill and destroy. This is worse than the devil's mandate. They lied that $1 was going to be equal to #1. As impossible as that sounded,we didn't care.
They made Jonathan look like like he was in a primaries with Satan for the post of the Devil.
They labelled him corrupt, paid every media outlet to defame his government, promised to decimate Boko Haram in a few weeks, assured us of their intention to pulverize corruption to nothingness.
But now, security is in shambles.
Death doesn't sound like death anymore. Human lives hardly matter.
EFCC and DSS chasing detractors and rivals.
Economy? What to say?
It's drowning
Now their Presidential form is 100m.
shocked How much is the president's salary/income?
Don't they have influential advisers? This is clearly in contradistinction to their "corruption fighting slogan"

Anyone the North support is a winner already. As the country stands now, i advice Igbos to cooperate with the Northerners and get what they want.
Obasanjo 8 years
Osinbajo 8 years
And Yoruba is contesting for another 8 years, and asking Hausa not to contest, this is greediness at the highest order.

North must contests as far as Yoruba is contesting
