I assume the OP means only English poets. Though my favorite all-time poet was Alfazazi Al Andalusi (Arabic), among my many favorites English poets is Henry W. Longfellow (1807-1882).
I particularly love his:
*Harun Al Rachid

*The Slave's Dream
*The Potter's Song
I also love Abou Ben Adhem by Leigh Hunt.

Realists:
My favorite poet is Imru' al-Qais (501-565)
