William shakespeare "shall i compare thee to a summer's morn" (how good it is to have a friend as beautiful as the morning sun) and Alfred lord tennyson "crossing the bar" (do not cry for me when i meet my pilot face to face).

JOHN DONNE - "No one is an Island"

No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as any manner of thy friends or of thine own were;
any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind. And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

History has it that he wrote this when a deadly plague was killing people in the thousands in England... the last line mean " don't be so concerned about other people's death because death is coming for you too".
