HOW TO FIND A SCHOLARSHIP QUICKLY

The biggest benefit of scholarships in the world is that it helps students focus on their actual goals. Financial constraints can have a toll on the student's ability to learn and perform. The lack of financial assistance prevents students from getting access to adequate educational infrastructure. Also, it affects students mentally as they have to bear the pressure of being unable to work for their education and career goals. Scholarship programmes reduce the financial burden of the students and their parents. Eventually. It leads to less tension and provides ample time to focus on career goals.

You think that will stop the strike. After they get paid 200 billion. They will remind the federal government of an agreement in year 1994 that they have not honoured or a pending payment granted by a court of law.

Will they continue to donate 1 billion each on regular basis because ASSU demand is continuous and not once. It is because federal government never enforced no work no pay policy and ensure it is not reversible by oncoming government; that is why ASSU is riding on government like that.

With little government is giving them, they never justify it. They are selfish and only hide under canopy of they are fighting for students while truely, they are only fighting for their own pockets. Many of them can not even teach students to understand, tangible research that will attract support from organizations, they can't do. Many of them have never worked in the industry for one day, no practical experience and they want to train students to go to industries they themselves have never worked before.

This is major reason they are producing and graduating unemployable and unskillful students whom some of them get frustrated after joblessness to become useful tools in the hand of kidnappers, arm robbery, ritualism and yahoo-yahoo to raise money illegally to give hope to their frustrated lifes. Many of the graduates who are shouting no job are not even capable when the job is ready for them.

Methods of recruiting lecturers must be reviewed with emphasis on industrial working experience s and not just PhD and numbers of local/international journals written, lecturers that can not teach dullest students to understand in the class should not be employed for teaching but should be tested if he/she can fit in research. No need to retain professor that can not transfer knowledge to younger generation via simple teaching irrespective of his knowledge. If he/she can not also fit in research, he/she should be laid off; such professor should approach other areas of life to explore jobs or areas he can fit in.

Government should stop wasting money on unproductive lecturers and professors without result to show off. If they are just after money, they should go to politics where they think money is. Many professors and lecturers are also in politics, they can't be holding government at random without anything to show for it. What is the advantage of professor or lecturers of computer science who can not write and run simple program to solve quadratic equation in class without turning it to assignment or carry notes? Is that the way to build future Bill-gate and other IT generals?

Real-life entrepreneurs should be invited to teach entrepreneurial courses in our tertiary institution instead of allowing ASSU lecturers who can not even manage ordinary kiosks or survive without salary. If lots of students that are graduating are skillful and employable, it will contribute its own quota to crime reduction among youths; many of them will no longer depend on yahoo-yahoo, ritualism and kidnapping to escape poverty. Nigeria will be great again!

It's not the government it's ASUU's insatiable greed that's the problem. ASUU is fighting for their pockets not for the good of students or their welfare.
