The Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, has followed the directive of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) which asked that all members of his cabinet and appointees vying for electoral offices resign on or before May 16, 2022.

The order which came on Wednesday was announced during the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by the President at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

However, highly reliable sources within the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Ministry of science and technology confirmed to The PUNCH that the minister had indeed dropped his resignation.
“The minister was at the office of the SGF to drop his resignation. That was expected seeing as the president asked that they all should resign”, one source said.

Onu had on May 6, 2022, declared for the presidency under the ruling All Progressives Congress.

He joins the minister of state for education, Emeka Nwajiuba whose resignation was announced by the President during the FEC meeting.

The resignation is not in his best interest except he never valued his position as minister because he will obviously lose the primaries.

The APC ticket should naturally be hovering around Onu and Amaechi, but Buhari cabals want to go back to their vomit in GEJ.

Let’s see how it unfolds.

Wow, so Nwajuba resigned First. Indeed he tried, I thought he would be the first to forfeit his aspiration. Though himself and his boss in the ministry failed has Minister for education.

Ngige the consultant, Malami, Silvia, Amaechi should follow suit ASAP

Keep entertaining yourself with false hope.

While Your mates are already creating thread to beg Tinubu to forfeit his aspiration.

They've seen where the tree is falling to, no more threat, they've resulted to begging

All this hidden sources, by tomorrow now these people will come out to debunk the news.

Anyways, if this is true, then Buhari must have been indeed angry when he asked the ministers to resign during the FEC meeting for them to be responding to the resignation like this.

They had to be compelled to resign. Very shameless lot.
If Ngige doesn't resign, I can only imagine those who have resigned peeping at him from outside, calling him a traitor.

In a sane country, as they're submitting their resignation letters, they would have longed been arrested immediately and thrown in jail by now. These zombies have destroyed this country beyond redemption.
